Wake word detection
Wake word detection is the tiny, always-on model that listens for a trigger phrase ('Hey Siri') and only then activates full speech recognition.
The design is privacy-and-power-driven: a micro-model runs on-device continuously, while heavyweight ASR runs only after the wake word. False accepts and rejects are its quality axes.
