Can I transcribe a 5-hour video? Yes, as one file.
Yes: a 5-hour video is 300 minutes, half the 10-hour limit per file, and it becomes text in about 10 minutes; the first 20 minutes are free and the $6 pack (500 minutes) covers the rest with 200 minutes left. Paste a YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick or Google Drive link, or upload the file, as long as it is no bigger than 5 GB (2 GB before your first pack).
Five hours of video
What happens between upload and text.
A link first, if there is one
If the video lives on YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick or a Google Drive share link, paste the link and skip the upload entirely. Livestream replays count; stream recordings over 6 hours wait for a pack, but five hours goes straight ahead.
If you upload the file
Five hours of 1080p video is often 3 to 6 GB, while screen recordings and webinar exports are smaller. Up to 2 GB uploads before any purchase; from 2 to 5 GB it starts once a pack is on the account. Above 5 GB, export the audio: five hours of it is about 290 MB. Use the upload page.
Ten minutes of processing
Processing runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so five hours takes around ten. The proof page shows 9.31 hours finished in 1,033 seconds, nearly double this length.
Five hours made readable
The transcript arrives with a brief, chapters with timestamps, the names, numbers and dates said, the questions answered and a chat. Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters; exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON.

FAQ
Five-hour videos, answered.
How long does a 5-hour video take?
About ten minutes after it arrives. With a link there is no upload wait; with a large file, sending it can take longer than transcribing it. On a typical home connection a 3 GB upload takes several minutes, so pasting a link, where one exists, is the quicker route.
What does it cost?
It uses 300 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor, and the $6 pack (500 minutes) covers the whole video with 200 minutes left over. Packs are one-time purchases and the credits never expire, so the remaining 200 minutes cover another three hours and twenty minutes of video whenever it turns up.
My file is 4.5 GB. Can I still use the free minutes?
A file over 2 GB starts only after a pack is on the account. To try it free first, export the audio track (about 290 MB for five hours) and upload that instead; the words are identical.
What if my video is longer than 10 hours?
Split it into two files and upload both. The limit is 10 hours or 5 GB per file, whichever is reached first, and each part gets its own chapters. Cut at a natural break so no sentence is split between the two halves.
Will background music end up in the text?
No. Music and sound effects are not transcribed; only speech is. That keeps a long video with an intro track or musical breaks readable, although a loud soundtrack under someone talking can blur a few of their words.
What about languages and privacy?
All 99 supported languages are detected automatically, and a video that switches language midway is detected on its main language. The video's audio is transcribed on our own servers and never used for training.
