Terms of Service

Whipscribe is a transcription service operated by Neugence Technology Pvt. Ltd. ("Neugence", "we"). By using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. What the service does

Whipscribe transcribes audio and video you submit, either as file uploads or Creative Commons-licensed YouTube URLs, and returns a transcript in formats of your choosing.

2. Your responsibilities

When you submit content, you confirm that:

• You own the content, or you have the rights and permissions needed to transcribe it, including from any identifiable speakers.
• YouTube URLs you submit point to videos licensed under Creative Commons, or to videos you own.
• You will not submit content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or contains material that should not be processed (e.g. private recordings made without consent, copyrighted works without a licence).

3. Prohibited use

Don't use Whipscribe to transcribe content that:

• You do not have the legal right to process.
• Contains recordings of people made without their consent where consent is required.
• Is unlawful, harassing, or part of an attempt to circumvent rights holders or platforms.

4. Service availability

Whipscribe is provided "as is" and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We don't guarantee specific accuracy, uptime, or availability, and you shouldn't rely on Whipscribe for any use where transcription errors could cause harm without human review.

5. Content and data

We handle your submissions per our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of anything you upload and of the transcripts we produce from it.

6. Takedowns and abuse

If you believe content submitted through Whipscribe infringes your rights, or you want to report abuse, email contact@neugence.ai. We'll act on credible reports promptly.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neugence's total liability arising out of or related to these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim (or, if you're a non-paying user, USD 0).

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
