300 minutes · about 10 min · one file for the day

Transcribe a 5-hour deposition and work from it the same afternoon.

A 5-hour deposition is 300 minutes of testimony and returns as timestamped text in about 10 minutes; as audio it is roughly 300 MB, and a video of a remote session is often 1 to 3 GB. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

Five hours on the record

A full day of questioning, searchable before the next one starts.

Back in ten minutes

Processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, so 300 minutes of testimony is ready in about 10. Long pauses while exhibits are marked or documents are read do not hold it up, and the transcript waits in your Library if you step away.

One clock for the whole day

A five-hour deposition usually spans a lunch break. If the recorder kept running, upload it as one file; if it was stopped, upload the two parts and each keeps its own timestamps. Either way, nothing needs to be cut down to fit, since one file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB.

Find the answer, then play it

Chapters follow the examination, so background, the timeline, each exhibit and the damages questions each get a heading and a start time. Ask the chat when the witness first referred to the contract and it answers with the passage and the timestamp to check against the recording.

What 300 minutes leaves

Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

The gap before the official transcript

Five hours of testimony, and nothing to search yet.

✗ Waiting, or typing

The court reporter's certified copy is days away, and typing a working copy of five hours is several working days.

  • Days before any text arrives
  • Twenty-plus hours to type it yourself
  • Tools that stop after an hour
  • Splitting the video at the lunch break
  • No timestamps back to the tape
  • A subscription for one matter

✓ A working copy now

The full session goes up once and comes back as one document with one set of timestamps.

  • About 10 minutes for 300 minutes
  • Free preview of the opening minutes
  • Each line of questioning as a chapter
  • Exhibits, dates and amounts listed
  • DOCX for the outline, SRT for the video
  • A shorter follow-up still covered

FAQ

A 5-hour deposition, the common questions.

How long does a 5-hour deposition take to transcribe?

Roughly ten minutes, because each hour of testimony takes about two. Our published long run did 9.31 hours in 1,033 seconds, at /proof/long-files.

What does it cost?

Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes. For a first-time visitor the opening minutes are a free preview and the pack transcribes the rest from where the preview ended. Packs are one-time and the minutes never expire.

Is this a certified transcript?

No. It is an AI transcript with timestamps for working from: preparing outlines, digests and follow-up questions while the official record is produced. It is not a certified or official transcript, not a replacement for a court reporter, and not legal advice.

The video is 3.4 GB. Will it upload?

Before you buy a pack, files up to 5 GB upload, so it goes up as it is, or export the audio track, which for five hours is a few hundred megabytes. A Google Drive share link also works.

What if there was an interpreter?

99 languages are detected automatically, and a session that switches between English and an interpreted language is detected on its main language. Check the interpreted passages against the recording before relying on them.

Which formats, and who sees the recording?

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON from one pass. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete the file and its transcript whenever you choose.
