Transcribe long iHeart podcast episodes from the feed or the master.
A long podcast you listen to on iHeart is transcribed from the show's public RSS feed, or from the host's own master file if you produce it, and a 2.5-hour episode is text in about 5 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a 12-episode season of 2.5 hours comes to 1,800 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers.
Where the audio really lives
The iHeart app plays the episode. The feed behind it is what you paste.
The app page is not the file
The iHeart app is a listening app: the page you see there plays the episode, but it is not an audio link we can read. Most shows publish an RSS feed through their hosting service, and that feed is the address to paste. Search the show's own website or its host page for an RSS link if the app does not show one.
Producers: start from the master
If you make the show, the cleanest copy is the file your editor exported, usually a WAV or an MP3. Upload it as it is. A 2.5-hour MP3 at 128 kbps is about 144 MB, and even a 16-bit stereo WAV of the same length, about 1.6 GB, fits under the 2 GB that uploads before a pack.
A season, worked out
Twelve episodes of 2.5 hours are 12 × 150 = 1,800 minutes. The $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers the season with 200 left over, and a single episode of 150 minutes fits the $6 pack of 500 three times over. The pack is a one-time payment, not a subscription.
Listen less, find more
Every episode comes back with a brief of the thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, and the names, figures and dates mentioned. The chat over the transcript finds the moment a guest named a book or a study, and the questions the episode answers are listed for you.

FAQ
iHeart podcasts: questions and answers.
Can I paste the iHeart link of an episode?
Not usually. The iHeart episode page plays audio inside the app and is not a feed. Find the show's RSS feed, often linked on its own website or its hosting page, and paste that; or upload the file if you produced the episode.
How long does a 2.5-hour episode take?
About 5 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. A three-hour episode needs about 6, and the processing time does not depend on how fast your connection is when you paste a feed.
Am I allowed to transcribe someone else's show?
Transcribe what you made or have the right to use. For personal study notes, quoting with attribution or research, check the show's terms; a producer transcribing their own episodes is the straightforward case.
What do the numbers look like for a season?
A first visit gets 20 minutes free. Twelve episodes of 150 minutes total 1,800 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000. Two seasons of that length, 3,600 minutes, fit the $24 pack of 5,000.
Are hosts and guests identified?
Speakers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so you can see which host made which argument. The transcript itself is the clean running text of the conversation.
Is there an iHeart integration?
No integration, plugin or bot. We read a public feed or a file you upload, after the episode exists. Recordings stay on our own servers and are never used for training.
