Transcribe a city council meeting including every comment made in Spanish.
A 5-hour city council meeting with Spanish public comment and live interpretation comes back as text in about 10 minutes, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers it with 200 minutes to spare. The Spanish comments are transcribed as residents said them, with the English business of the meeting alongside, all on one timeline. The council's own agenda becomes the chapter list, so the comment period is a click away rather than two hours into a video.
For clerks, reporters and residents
Public comment is where residents speak for themselves. When that comment is in Spanish, the text should carry their own words, not only the interpretation.
Each speaker's words in Spanish
Spanish comments come back as spoken, next to the interpretation given in the room, so a bilingual reader can quote the resident directly.
The agenda as chapters
Consent calendar, public hearings, public comment, council discussion: each becomes a chapter with a title and a start time.
Commenters named in the summary
When residents state their names at the microphone, the summary and key quotes carry them, which helps a clerk or a reporter match each comment to its speaker. Residents who decline to give a name stay unnamed.

Why long meetings go unread
Nobody rewatches five hours of a council meeting to find one resident's two minutes.
✗ The video archive alone
Meetings are posted as long videos, and comments in Spanish are the hardest part to find again for anyone who does not speak it.
- Five hours of video with no index
- Spanish comments reduced to the interpreter's version
- Auto-captions set to one language
- Reporters scrubbing for a quote on deadline
- Minutes that list names but not words
- Files too large to send to a colleague
✓ The meeting as text
Searchable in both languages, with the structure of the agenda.
- Every comment as text, in its language
- Chapters per agenda item
- Names, addresses and amounts listed
- A chat over the transcript for quick questions
- Bilingual captions for the posted meeting video
- A 5-hour meeting on the $6 pack

FAQ
Council meetings with Spanish comment, answered.
How long until a 5-hour council meeting is text?
About 10 minutes once the file is uploaded or the link is read. For scale, the public proof shows 9.31 hours of audio finished in 1,033 seconds.
What does a year of 4-hour council meetings cost on each pack?
A 4-hour meeting uses 240 minutes, so two regular meetings a month, 480 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. A quarter's six meetings come to 1,440 minutes and fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes; for a full year of them, the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes holds twenty.
The meeting video is over 5 GB. What can I do?
Video size is bitrate times time: at 3 Mbps, an hour is 3,000,000 times 3,600 divided by 8 bytes, about 1.35 GB, so a 4-hour video is about 5.4 GB. Paste the YouTube link if there is one; otherwise convert it to MP3, which at 128 kbps is about 230 MB for the same 4 hours.
Is the Spanish transcribed, or only the interpretation?
Both. The recording is detected on its main language, usually English for a council meeting, and the Spanish comments are handled as switches in the same pass. Compare any comment you publish with the video, especially where the interpreter speaks over the resident.
Does this replace the council's adopted minutes?
No. It is an AI transcript for drafting minutes, reporting or translating, and the minutes the council adopts remain the record. Staff who prepare those minutes can start from the text, check each motion against the video and finish sooner.
Which exports, and where are recordings processed?
TXT, DOCX and JSON for the clerk, SRT and VTT for the video. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and a meeting can be deleted with its transcript whenever you choose.
