WhipScribe turns an Acast episode link from shows.acast.com into a timestamped transcript. Packs: $4 for 300 minutes, $18 for 3,000, $32 for 6,000; Workspace $19 a month. Up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Measured turnaround: about 2 minutes per audio hour. 99 languages. Checked 2 Nov 2026.
How it works
No download, no converter, nothing to install: the episode link does the work.
Open the episode on the show's Acast page. The address looks like shows.acast.com/showname/episodes/episode-title.
Acast episode links are recognised directly and the audio comes through without a download on your side. Preview instantly, no signup.
Every transcript includes word-level timestamps. Export TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON; it stays in your searchable library.
A single episode page: shows.acast.com/showname/episodes/…. We checked a public episode of this form and its audio came through in full. A show's front page points at the whole feed rather than one episode, so paste the episode page for the one you want.
If a link won't go through, paste the episode's direct MP3 link or the show's RSS feed instead (a feed link lists the show's episodes to choose from), or download the audio and upload the file. Files can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB; the box on this page takes files up to 500 MB, and larger files continue on the upload page.
What you can do with the transcript
One transcript per episode feeds your notes, captions and archive. More ideas on podcast transcripts.
Use the timestamps to mark where each topic starts, and pull exact quotes instead of paraphrasing from memory.
SRT and VTT exports carry the timing, so a clip for social or a full video upload gets captions that match the audio.
A written version lets deaf and hard-of-hearing people follow the show, and helps listeners who speak the show's language as a second language.
Turn a strong episode into a blog post or newsletter: the DOCX export is an editable draft; the summary and key quotes show who said what.
Keep every transcript in one library and search it for a name or topic, which beats scrubbing through hours of audio to find a moment.
Pricing
Packs from $4, credits never expire. After that, one-time packs: $4 for 300 minutes, $18 for 3,000 minutes or $32 for 6,000 minutes, and credits never expire.
A weekly show with 52 episodes of 40 minutes is 2,080 minutes. One $18 pack of 3,000 minutes covers the whole year, about 35 cents an episode, and the 920 minutes left over cover 23 more episodes. See every option on the pricing page.
All 10 Acast links pasted here in the last 90 days came back as a transcript (494 minutes of audio). Our production records, 28 Jul 2026 to 26 Oct 2026.
FAQ
Acast offers transcripts on its paid plans and adds them to the show's feed for podcast apps that display them. If that covers what you need, use it. Whipscribe helps when you want SRT and VTT files for video, DOCX for editing, or transcripts of shows you don't host, in one searchable library.
Copy the episode address (shows.acast.com/showname/episodes/…) and paste it into the box at the top of this page. The preview is instant with no signup; a pack from $4 opens the full transcript.
A show page points at the whole feed, not a specific episode. Paste the page of the episode you want, or its direct MP3 link.
A public episode link works the same way. Personal notes, study or quoting a line with credit is everyday use; publishing the full transcript of a show you don't own needs the creator's permission. This is common sense, not legal advice.
Packs from $4 for 300 minutes; $32 buys 6,000 minutes, so a 90-minute episode uses about 48 cents of credit, and credits never expire.
Download the audio from your Acast account and upload the file instead of pasting a link. Transcripts are kept in your own account's library.
