WhipScribe turns a Podcast Addict episode link into a timestamped transcript. Packs: $4 for 500 minutes, $12 for 2,000, $24 for 5,000; Workspace $19 a month. Up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Measured turnaround: about 2 minutes per audio hour. 99 languages. Checked 25 Oct 2026.
How it works
The episode's public page on podcastaddict.com is enough for Whipscribe to find its audio.
In the Android app, open the episode and use share to copy its link, or open the episode on podcastaddict.com and copy the address. Episode links contain /episode/ and a number.
Whipscribe reads the episode page and finds its audio. The transcript preview opens without an account.
Speakers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and every word carries a timestamp. Export TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON.
| Link you paste | What gets transcribed |
|---|---|
podcastaddict.com/show-name/episode/123456789 | That episode |
A direct .mp3 link to the episode | That file |
| The show's RSS feed link | The newest episode |
If a link is refused, you see a message straight away and nothing is queued. Paste the episode's MP3 link or the show's RSS feed instead, or download the episode and drop the file in the box. The box takes files up to 500 MB; larger files continue on the upload page. If the app shares something that does not look like the episode link above, open it in your browser and copy the address from the episode page. Private feeds you added by hand have no public page, so upload the file instead.
What listeners and podcasters do with it
A transcript turns an hour of listening into something you can skim, search and quote.
Paste an episode on your reading list and pull the key passages into your notes, each with a timestamp so you can go back to the audio.
Heard a claim you want to pass on? Read the exact words and see which speaker said them before you repeat it.
Skim the text of a two-hour episode and listen only to the segment that matters to you.
If you publish a show, paste your own public episode link for show notes material, a blog draft from the DOCX, and SRT or VTT captions for clips.
Podcast Addict's own transcripts
Podcast Addict can show a transcript when the podcaster publishes one in the show's feed, either as live subtitles on the player or as full text from the episode screen. Plenty of shows do not publish one, and older episodes often have none.
When there is no transcript, or you want a file you can edit, quote from or turn into captions, paste the episode link here and keep the result in your own searchable library.
Most shows you find on Podcast Addict belong to someone else. Transcribing a public episode for notes, study or research is common; before publishing the transcript or long quotes, ask the podcaster and credit the show. This is not legal advice.
