Live replay link · 10 hours · packs from $6

Transcribe a YouTube live stream replay every hour of it.

The live stream ended and YouTube saved the replay; now you need it in writing. Paste the replay link below and the broadcast comes back as one transcript, up to 10 hours, at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. A replay longer than 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account, and packs start at $6.

After the broadcast ends

The replay YouTube kept, turned into text.

The replay link is the input

Once the stream has finished processing on YouTube, its replay has an ordinary watch address. Paste that. Public and unlisted replays both work, and nothing is downloaded to your machine.

Long replays: pack first past 6 hours

Live replays longer than 6 hours start once a pack is on your account. Replays under 6 hours preview the first 20 minutes free on a first visit, then a pack transcribes the remainder from that point.

Better than live captions

Auto-captions from a live broadcast arrive without punctuation and with the words that were hard to hear left wrong. The transcript here is written in sentences, with times you can cite.

A record of the Q&A

Long live streams are often mostly audience questions. The brief lists the questions the replay answers, and chapters mark where each one was taken, which makes a follow-up post quick to write.

Live streams are long

A four-hour replay is easy to publish and hard to reuse.

✗ What the replay gives you

A video and a caption track that was typed by a machine in real time.

  • Captions with no full stops
  • Names spelled the way they sounded
  • No chapters for a four-hour stream
  • Questions from chat lost in the scroll
  • A download step for every tool
  • No document to send the team

✓ What the transcript gives you

A readable document of the broadcast you can search, quote and repurpose.

  • Punctuated, readable sentences
  • Chapters across the whole replay
  • The audience questions listed
  • Quotes with their stream time
  • Captions to re-upload to the replay
  • A brief for the follow-up email

Sample output

Four hours of live Q&A, with every question findable.

An illustrative sample, written for this page. The clock starts when the replay starts, including the waiting screen, so the times match YouTube's player.

FAQ

YouTube live replays, answered.

How long does a 4-hour live replay take to transcribe?

Roughly 8 minutes, since processing runs at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. A replay of the full 10 hours would take about 20. On our public proof page, a 9.31-hour recording took 1,033 seconds.

What will a long live replay cost?

A 4-hour replay is 240 minutes, inside the $6 pack of 500. A 9-hour broadcast is 540 minutes, one more than that pack holds, so the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes is the one to buy. Packs are one-time purchases and the minutes do not run out with time.

Why does a 7-hour replay not show a free preview?

Live stream recordings over 6 hours start once a pack is on the account. Under 6 hours, the first 20 minutes are free on your first visit. The rule exists for long stream recordings specifically, so it is stated here before you paste.

Can I paste a stream that is still live?

Paste the replay after the broadcast ends and YouTube has finished saving it. The longest replay accepted is 10 hours; a longer broadcast goes in as two files.

Which languages does it understand?

99 of them, detected without any setting, which matters for international streams where the host and guests speak different languages. Each replay's language is picked up on its own, so a channel that streams in two languages needs no change.

Can I put the captions back on the replay, and is the audio private?

Yes, download SRT or VTT and upload it in YouTube Studio; TXT, DOCX and JSON are there too. The DOCX is the easiest to edit into a written recap. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
