Transcribe a retreat recording every session of the weekend.
You recorded a retreat over a weekend or several days, sessions, talks, sharing circles and long quiet spells in between, and you want the spoken parts as text. Upload each day's recording or share a Drive folder: each file can run to 10 hours, it takes about 2 minutes per hour of audio, and a 14-hour weekend fits one $12 pack (2,000 minutes).
For a whole retreat
Days of recording, kept in the order they happened.
A file per day, or per session
Each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB. Recorders left running from morning until evening usually fit; anything longer goes up as two files. Share the folder from Google Drive and every day's recording is picked up together.
Long quiet spells
Retreats have silent sits, walking periods and meals. The transcript holds what was said, each line timed against the recording, so you can see a session resume after an hour of quiet without listening through it.
Each day summarised
Every recording comes back with a brief of the main themes and takeaways, chapters for each session within it, and the questions participants asked. Comparing the briefs shows how the weekend unfolded.
Personal sharing stays private
Retreats often include personal moments. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you decide what is exported or shared afterwards.
After a retreat
Days of recordings, and no time to listen to them again.
✗ Raw recordings
The recorder ran for most of the weekend, and the files are too long for anyone to revisit.
- Twenty hours of audio with nothing marked
- Tools that give up on long silences
- Recordings cut into hour-long pieces
- Teaching moments nobody can locate later
- Participants asking for notes that never come
- A shared drive full of untitled files
✓ A retreat in text
The speech from every day, timed and summarised, in one searchable place.
- Each day as one transcript, up to 10 hours
- Quiet spells between lines, not empty pages
- A brief and chapters for every day
- Search across the whole retreat
- One $12 pack for a 14-hour weekend
- DOCX notes to send to participants
Sample output
Friday evening to Sunday lunch, the spoken parts.
Illustrative output, not a real retreat. Each day is its own transcript; large gaps between timestamps are quiet periods in the recording.

FAQ
Retreat recordings, answered.
How long does a weekend of recordings take?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 10-hour day takes around twenty minutes and a 14-hour weekend about half an hour in total. You can upload and leave.
What does a retreat cost to transcribe?
A weekend with 14 hours of recording is 840 minutes, which fits one $12 pack (2,000 minutes). A shorter retreat of up to 8 hours fits a $6 pack (500 minutes). The first 20 minutes are free, and minutes never expire.
Each day's file is very large. What are the limits?
Up to 10 hours and 5 GB per file. Until the account has a pack, one upload can be up to 2 GB, and a heavier day's file waits for the pack before it starts. A WAV recording saved as MP3 shrinks to a fraction of its size.
Saturday's recording runs past 10 hours. What do I do?
Split that one day into two files, each under 10 hours, for example before and after the midday break. Every other day that ran under 10 hours can go up as recorded.
Sessions were led in different languages. Will each one come out right?
Each file's language is detected on its main language, from 99 supported, including Spanish, Hindi and Korean. If a day mixes languages, recording each leader's session separately gives each its own language.
What can I export?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON for every day. DOCX works well for notes sent to participants after the retreat.
