Delay (effect)
Delay repeats a signal after a set time — the building block of echo effects and, at short times, of thickening and spatial effects.
In speech work delay appears mostly as a problem: unsynchronized speaker feeds or processing latency creating audible slap. As a creative effect it belongs to music production.
