Panning
Panning places a sound in the stereo field between left and right speakers, creating spatial separation between sources.
Voice content stays centered by convention; panning multiple podcast guests slightly apart is a taste choice that aids separation but degrades badly on single-speaker playback. Music mixing uses the full field.
