Plosives
Plosives are the bursts of air from 'p' and 'b' sounds that hit a close microphone as a low-frequency thump — the classic 'popped P'.
Prevention is a pop filter and slight off-axis mic placement; repair is a high-pass filter or a spectral tool. Plosives are a close-miking artifact — distance mics rarely pop.
