Speech enhancement
Speech enhancement cleans a voice recording — suppressing noise, reducing reverb, restoring clarity — using models trained on paired clean and degraded speech.
Modern enhancement is dramatic on noise and respectable on reverb, and cleaning audio before recognition measurably improves transcripts of rough recordings. It cannot conjure detail that was never captured — prevention still beats repair.
