How much does it cost to transcribe 50 hours of audio? One $24 pack.
Fifty hours of audio costs $24: it is 3,000 minutes, the $24 pack holds 5,000, and 2,000 minutes stay on the account with no expiry, while the $12 pack (2,000 minutes) would stop a thousand minutes short. Because one file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, fifty hours means at least five files, each processed at about 2 minutes per audio hour (around 100 minutes for the lot), and the first 20 minutes are free.

The sum, the files and the clock.
Why not two $12 packs
Two $12 packs hold 4,000 minutes for the same money that buys 5,000 as one $24 pack, so the bigger pack wins outright. The $6 pack alone would cover a little over eight hours of the fifty.
How fifty hours splits into files
Fifty hours rarely arrive as one recording anyway: think twenty interviews of two and a half hours, or ten workshop days of five. Any file up to 10 hours or 5 GB goes up whole. As 128 kbps MP3, fifty hours is roughly 2.9 GB in total, so each part sits under the 2 GB first-upload limit. Large sets go from the upload page.
About 100 minutes of processing
Processing runs near 2 minutes per hour of audio. The public proof page shows a 9.31-hour file finishing in 1,033 seconds, so a ten-hour part is done in about twenty minutes and all fifty hours in under two hours of machine time.
What the remaining 2,000 minutes buy
The leftover 2,000 minutes are another 33 hours and 20 minutes of audio, kept on the account indefinitely. If more recordings are on the way, they are already paid for, and nothing renews or lapses in the meantime.

FAQ
Fifty hours, answered.
Is $24 really the total for 50 hours?
Yes, for the transcription: 3,000 minutes against the 5,000 in the $24 pack. Each file comes back with the brief, chapters, the names and numbers mentioned, a chat, and TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON exports. There is no subscription and no per-file fee.
Can I upload 50 hours as a single file?
No. The ceiling is 10 hours or 5 GB per file, whichever is reached first, so fifty hours means at least five files. Cut long parts at natural pauses; minutes are counted the same either way.
How long until all 50 hours are text?
About 100 minutes of processing at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour, plus upload time. A ten-hour file finishes in about twenty minutes, and the speed of your own connection is often the slower part.
What about the free minutes?
A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, which on a long file is a preview you can read before paying. The pack then transcribes the remainder from where the preview ended.
Some files are video over 2 GB. Is that a problem?
Before the first pack, uploads are limited to 2 GB; once a pack is on the account, files up to 5 GB go through. Exporting just the audio from a large video shrinks it a great deal without losing a single word.
Are several speakers and languages handled?
Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. All 99 supported languages are detected automatically. Your recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
