How do I transcribe a recorded webinar? Replay in, captions and recap out.
Upload the webinar recording or paste its YouTube or Vimeo replay link: a file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB (2 GB before the first pack), and it is transcribed at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a 90-minute session takes about 3 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers five such sessions, and a year of monthly webinars, 1,080 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
After the session ends
One recording, turned into captions, a recap and an FAQ.
Where the recording comes from
Webinar tools save the session as a video file for the host, often an MP4 available to download from the platform's recordings page a little while after the event ends. If the replay was published on YouTube or Vimeo, paste that link instead. A replay that only plays inside a platform page needs downloading first, then uploading.
The Q&A, gathered
The questions the recording answers are listed in the result, which makes the audience Q&A at the end of a webinar easy to turn into an FAQ page. Chapters separate the presentation from the questions, each with its timestamp.
Captions for the replay
Export SRT or VTT and attach it to the replay wherever you host it, so viewers who watch muted can follow. The DOCX gives marketing a full text to quote from, and the brief gives a ready recap for the follow-up email you send by hand.
Presenters named
Presenters and panellists are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, based on introductions and names said during the session. Multi-hour training webinars work the same as short ones, and long files can start on the upload page.
Replays nobody rewatches
Why a webinar recording usually goes unused.
✗ A link in a follow-up email
Most registrants never press play on a 90-minute replay, and the good answers from the Q&A stay buried.
- Replays watched by a few
- Auto-captions only on some platforms
- Q&A answers lost after the session
- Recaps written from memory
- Notetaker bots added before the call
- Hour caps on longer trainings
✓ A recording that keeps working
The same session becomes text, captions and an FAQ within minutes of the upload.
- 90 minutes in about 3 minutes
- Replay links, no download needed
- $6 covers five 90-minute sessions
- Presenters named in the summary
- Audience questions listed
- SRT and VTT for the replay

FAQ
Webinar recordings, answered.
How long does a webinar take to transcribe?
About 2 minutes per audio hour. A 60-minute webinar is ready in about 2 minutes, a 90-minute one in about 3, and a 4-hour training session in about 8.
What does a webinar series cost?
The first 20 minutes are free. A single 90-minute session fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 410 left. Twelve monthly sessions of 90 minutes, 1,080 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, and a weekly series for a year is a job for the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
Does anything join the live webinar?
No. Nothing joins the session; the work happens on the recording afterwards, so your attendee list never shows an extra participant and presenters do not have to change how they run the event. Record the webinar as you normally would, then send the file or the replay link when it is ready.
My platform's recording is over 2 GB.
Before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB; with a pack on the account, up to 5 GB per file. Many platforms also offer an audio-only download, which is much smaller and gives the same words.
Can I paste a replay link instead of downloading?
Yes, for YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick and Google Drive share links. Replays longer than 6 hours start once a pack is on the account. A replay hosted only on a webinar platform page usually needs downloading first.
Is the recording kept private?
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. A team that runs webinars every week can use the $19/month Workspace instead of packs.
