Is there a limit on audio length? yes: 10 hours or 5 GB for each file.
Yes, there is a limit: one file can be up to 10 hours long or 5 GB in size, whichever it reaches first, and a recording longer than that goes in as two files. A 10-hour file takes about 20 minutes to transcribe, your first recording gets the first 20 minutes free, and the 600 minutes for a full 10 hours come from the $12 pack of 2,000.
Every line, stated plainly
The limits that apply, and when each one bites.
Length: 10 hours
No single file can be longer than 10 hours. A 14-hour recording from a long event goes in as two parts, for example the morning and the afternoon, and each comes back with its own chapters. Cut at a pause rather than mid-sentence, so neither half starts with a broken line.
Size: 5 GB, and 2 GB at first
The ceiling for one file is 5 GB. Before the first pack is on an account, uploads go up to 2 GB; a larger file starts as soon as a pack is added.
Links have their own rule
A YouTube, Twitch or Kick stream recording over 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account. Shorter links, podcast feeds and Google Drive files start straight away and need no upload.
What is not limited
There is no cap on how many files you send, no monthly allowance to run out of and no expiry on credits. The only ceiling is per file. Send a hundred recordings of three hours each and every one is treated the same way.

FAQ
Questions about length limits.
Is there a limit on audio length for transcription?
Yes. The ceiling for each file is 10 hours or 5 GB, whichever arrives first. Anything longer goes in as two files, and there is no limit on how many files you send.
What if my recording is 11 or 14 hours long?
Cut it once at a natural break, such as lunch, and upload the two parts. Each part is transcribed separately, with its own timestamps and chapters.
How long does a recording near the limit take?
About 20 minutes for 10 hours, at roughly 2 minutes per hour. The public proof page lists a 9.31-hour file finished in 1,033 seconds.
What does a 10-hour file cost?
600 minutes, which points to the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes; the other 1,400 stay on your account. A first recording gets the first 20 minutes free.
Do languages or file types change the limit?
No. The 10-hour and 5 GB lines are the same for all 99 languages and for audio and video files alike. A video file reaches 5 GB sooner, so exporting just the audio helps.
What comes back, and is the file kept private?
A transcript with timestamps in TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, plus a brief and chapters. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, whatever their length.
