Is there really no file size limit?
No, and we would rather say so. One file can be up to 5 GB and up to 10 hours. Both numbers are larger than nearly any recording a phone, camera or meeting app produces. A service that promises no ceiling at all still has one somewhere, usually in upload timeouts or plan minutes, so it is worth asking what that number is before you start a long upload.
What can I do if my file is over 5 GB?
Paste its link if it is hosted online, upload an audio-only copy of a video, or cut it into two files. Each route keeps every word of the recording. The audio-only copy is usually the quickest: a free tool such as VLC or Audacity can save the soundtrack of a long video as an MP3 in a few minutes.
