Transcribe a 2-hour deposition and work from the testimony the same afternoon.
A 2-hour deposition is 120 minutes of audio, and it comes back as a timestamped working transcript in about 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest; three depositions of this length fit on it with 140 minutes left.
Two hours on the record
A short deposition, searchable before the court reporter's copy arrives.
A working copy, said plainly
Read it as an AI transcript with timestamps, made for working from. It is not a certified court transcript, not a substitute for a court reporter, and not legal advice. Teams use it to build the outline, check an answer and prepare for the next witness while the official record is produced.
Three depositions on one pack
At roughly 2 minutes per audio hour, 120 minutes is ready in about 4. A single deposition leaves 380 of the 500 minutes on the $6 pack. Three of them use 360 and leave 140, enough for a short follow-up session with the same witness.
Lines of questioning as chapters
Background, the relationship, the documents and the damages each become a chapter with a start time. The brief lists the dates, amounts and names that were said, so you can go from a figure in your notes to the second it was spoken.
Remote and in-room recordings
A deposition taken over video usually arrives as an MP4; one recorded in a conference room is often an MP3 or WAV. Either uploads as it is, and a video larger than the box above takes goes on upload page. Breaks and off-the-record pauses simply produce no text.
Why a short deposition still costs a day
Waiting for the transcript stalls the work that depends on it.
✗ Waiting for the record
Until the official transcript arrives, the team works from notes and the recording.
- Associate notes taken while also listening
- Scrubbing video to find one answer
- An exhibit number nobody wrote down
- Typing two hours by hand for a working copy
- Objections lost among the answers
- A tool that cuts off long before the end
✓ Working from the deposition text
The testimony becomes a searchable document with one set of timestamps to go back to the tape.
- Searchable roughly 4 minutes after upload
- First 20 minutes of testimony at no charge
- 380 minutes left after one deposition
- Chapters split by line of questioning
- Each figure and date tied to its minute
- DOCX for the deposition summary

FAQ
2-hour depositions, the common questions.
How long does a 2-hour deposition take?
About 4 minutes from upload to text, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. Our proof page lists 2.48 hours in 200 seconds among its published runs.
What do 120 minutes cost?
A 2-hour deposition fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes and leaves 380. Three use 360 and leave 140. Depositions of 100 minutes, the length we see most among paying uploads, fit five to a $6 pack, using all 500 minutes. A caseload above 2,000 minutes a month belongs on the $24 pack of 5,000.
How large is the file?
Audio at 128 kbps is about 58 MB per hour, so roughly 115 MB for two hours. Video of a remote deposition is often several hundred megabytes. Before a pack the upload limit is 2 GB; with one it is 5 GB.
Can this replace the reporter's certified copy?
No, and it does not try to be one. It is a timestamped working copy for preparing outlines, summaries and follow-up questions while the official record is produced by the court reporter.
What about an interpreted deposition?
Detection across 99 languages is automatic, and the session is read on its main language. With an interpreter, read the passages in the second language against the audio before relying on them.
What formats come out, and who has access to the file?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON all come out of the same pass. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete the file and transcript at any time.
