Transcribe a 2-hour town hall with every question answered on the record.

A 2-hour town hall is 120 minutes of opening remarks and open questions, and it comes back as text in about 4 minutes with each question and its answer as a chapter. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes finishes the meeting and leaves 380 minutes.

Two hours in the hall

What was asked, who answered, and what they committed to.

About four minutes

Two hours of audio usually takes about 4 minutes. If the meeting was streamed to YouTube, paste the replay link and skip the download; a town hall shared as a Drive link works the same way.

One chapter per question

Town halls run in a pattern: remarks from the front, then a line of people at the microphone. The chapters follow that pattern, so each question gets a heading, a start time and the answer that followed it.

Commitments, with their timestamps

When someone at the front says a road will be repaved in spring or a policy will be reviewed by the next quarter, that date is listed in the brief with the moment it was said. The speakers on the panel are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.

A record people can read

Not everyone can sit through two hours of video. Post the DOCX or a short write-up drawn from the brief, attach SRT captions to the replay, and keep the JSON with your meeting files.

Why town hall records go missing

The replay sits online, and nobody has time to watch it.

✗ The usual follow-up

A volunteer writes notes from memory, or the replay is posted with no text at all.

  • Notes that miss half the questions
  • Auto captions with no punctuation
  • No way to find one answer in two hours
  • A free tier that stops at 40 minutes
  • Room noise blamed for lost words
  • Promises nobody can point back to

✓ The meeting as a document

The whole meeting comes back as text you can search, quote and post.

  • About 4 minutes for 120 minutes
  • Each question as its own chapter
  • Dates and commitments listed
  • Speakers named in summary and quotes
  • Captions for the posted replay
  • 380 minutes left on the $6 pack

FAQ

A 2-hour town hall, the common questions.

How long does a 2-hour town hall take to transcribe?

Expect about 4 minutes; each audio hour takes roughly 2. A replay link starts without an upload, so the wait is mostly processing.

What does a 2-hour meeting cost?

120 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, leaving 380 for the next three meetings of the same length. Anyone new gets the first 20 minutes free, and once a pack is on the account the rest of the meeting is transcribed from where that preview stopped.

The microphone in the room was poor. Will questions from the floor come through?

Speech that is audible on the recording is transcribed, and quieter questions from the floor can come through with gaps. Applause and room noise are not transcribed. The timestamps make it easy to listen again to any question that matters.

What size is the file, and can I paste a link?

A YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive link needs no upload. A downloaded video of two hours is often 1 to 4 GB depending on quality; up to 2 GB uploads before a pack and up to 5 GB after one. The audio alone is roughly 120 MB.

Which languages work?

99 languages are detected automatically. A meeting held mainly in one language with some questions in another is detected on its main language, and English and Tagalog switches in one recording are handled.

What can I download, and who has access to the recording?

You get TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON files. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete them whenever you like.
