Transcribe a 3-hour dictation and edit the draft instead of typing it.
A 3-hour dictation is 180 minutes of audio and returns as text in about 6 minutes, ready to open as a DOCX draft. The $6 pack of 500 minutes covers two such sessions, and your first 20 minutes are free.
For writers, researchers and anyone who thinks faster than they type
Three hours of dictation is a chapter, a report or a week of notes. Typing it back is the slow part.
A draft you can open and edit
The DOCX export arrives with paragraphs and timestamps, so the next step is editing rather than retyping three hours of your own voice.
Sections become chapters
When you move from one part of the draft to the next, the chapters follow with a title and start time, giving a long dictation an outline before you touch it.
Facts you dictated, listed
Figures, dates and names said in the dictation are listed with timestamps, which makes checking a report's numbers a few minutes' work. Ask the chat where you mentioned a source, and it points to the passage.
Long sessions upload whole
A morning of dictation from a recorder or a phone goes through the upload page as one file, with no splitting into short clips.
Why long dictation stalls
Dictating three hours is fast. Getting it into a document is where the week goes.
✗ Dictation that waits to be typed
Live dictation tools work for a paragraph at a time and stop when you pause. Long recorded dictation often sits untouched because typing it back takes longer than saying it did.
- Live tools that time out after a few minutes
- Recorders that split a session into many short files
- Typing back at a fraction of speaking speed
- No outline until the whole thing is typed
- Figures that have to be checked against the audio
- Typing services quoted per audio minute
✓ The same dictation here
One file in, one editable draft out, before your coffee is finished.
- Full punctuated text in about 6 minutes
- DOCX ready for track changes
- Chapters for each section
- Dictated figures and dates with times
- A brief of the main argument

FAQ
Three-hour dictations, answered.
How long until the dictation is text?
Three hours take about 6 minutes. A full day of dictation, say seven hours, fits one file and is ready in roughly 14 minutes.
What does a book's worth of dictation cost?
A 3-hour session uses 180 minutes, so the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers two. A draft dictated across ten such sessions is 1,800 minutes and fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A long project of twenty-five sessions, 4,500 minutes, fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. Credits never expire, so a slow month of writing costs nothing extra.
Do I need to say “comma” and “full stop”?
It is better not to. Punctuation is added from the way you speak, so dictate in plain sentences and fix the odd break in the DOCX afterwards.
My recorder saved the session as several files. How do I send them?
Upload each file on its own, or join them first; one file can run to 10 hours or 5 GB. Before your first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB per file.
Can I dictate in another language?
Yes. Ninety-nine languages are detected automatically, Japanese, Hebrew, Swedish and Spanish among them, with no setting to change. A dictation is detected on its main language. If you read out a passage in a second language, check that stretch against the audio once the draft is back.
Which exports are there, and is my draft private?
DOCX for editing the draft, TXT for plain notes, and SRT, VTT and JSON as well. Unpublished work stays unpublished: recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
