Six hours on the record

From the last question to a searchable record before dinner.

Where the file comes from

Most six-hour depositions reach you as the videographer's MP4, the court reporter's audio, or a Zoom or Teams cloud recording when the session was remote. Any of these can go straight in. If you hold only a heavy video, export the audio track first, and send big files through upload page.

The clock arithmetic

At about 2 minutes per hour of audio, 360 minutes takes roughly 12. The public proof page shows a 9.31-hour recording finished in 1,033 seconds, so a deposition that runs into overtime stays comfortably inside one job.

Lines of questioning as chapters

Chapters start where counsel turns to a new subject: background, the agreement, the emails, the damages claim. The brief lists every exhibit number, date and dollar figure spoken aloud, each tied to the moment it was said.

Costing a whole case

Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

The week after a long deposition

Waiting on the certified copy should not stall the next witness.

✗ Preparing from memory

Without text, the team leans on handwritten notes and a video nobody has six spare hours to replay.

  • Scrubbing video to find one answer
  • Paraphrased notes instead of exact wording
  • Exhibit references scattered across notepads
  • Hour-long caps that cut the day in six
  • Timestamps that reset with every part
  • A subscription bought for a single case

✓ A working transcript the same day

The whole deposition becomes one searchable document on one clock, from the oath to the close.

  • Roughly 12 minutes for six hours
  • One file up to 10 hours or 5 GB
  • Packs from $4 for 300 minutes
  • Chapters per topic of examination
  • Witness and counsel named in the summary
  • DOCX for the digest, SRT for the video

FAQ

Six-hour depositions: what people ask first.

How long does a 6-hour deposition take to transcribe?

Around 12 minutes. The rate is about 2 minutes per hour of audio, and the job carries on in your Library if you close the tab.

Which pack covers 360 minutes?

Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes. First-time visitors see a free preview of the opening minutes; once the pack is added, transcription continues from where that preview stopped. Credits are a one-time purchase and do not expire.

Is this a certified deposition transcript?

No. It is an AI transcript for working from: outlining, drafting follow-up questions, locating testimony. It is not certified or official, it does not replace the court reporter, and nothing on this page is legal advice.

The video file is 7 GB. How do I send it?

One file can be up to 5 GB, so export the audio track, about 350 MB for six hours, or a lower-resolution copy. Before any pack is on the account, uploads already go up to 5 GB.

The deposition continued into a second day. One upload or two?

Two, one per day, each with its own chapters and brief. A continuous recording longer than 10 hours would also need splitting, since 10 hours is the ceiling for a single file.

What about privacy, languages and export formats?

Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. 99 languages are detected automatically; testimony given through an interpreter is detected on its main language, so check those passages against the audio. Export as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON.
