Transcribe a 6-hour seminar and write the proceedings from the record.
A 6-hour seminar is 360 minutes of audio and is transcribed in about 12 minutes; the audio is usually 180 to 350 MB, and a recorded video of a full day often weighs 2 to 5 GB. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.
For seminar convenors and research groups
A full-day seminar, set down in text before anyone has to write it up.
Where the day was captured
A full-day seminar is usually recorded on a Zoom or Teams call for remote participants, a room recorder on the table, or a camera at the back. Download the recording and upload it, or paste a Google Drive, YouTube or Vimeo link. An audio export keeps even six hours well under 500 MB, the limit of the box on this page.
Twelve minutes, then reading
Processing runs at about 2 minutes per hour of audio, so six hours is around 12 minutes. For scale, a 9.31-hour file has been processed in 1,033 seconds, documented at /proof/long-files.
Proceedings, structured
Chapters follow each paper, the respondent's comments and the open discussion. The brief sets out the thesis of the day, the takeaways, the references and figures cited, and the questions raised, with presenters named in the summary and key quotes.
Seminar arithmetic
One day takes 360 of the 3,000 minutes in the $18 pack of 3,000 minutes. Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.
Why seminar days vanish
Six hours of argument, and the write-up relies on whoever took the best notes.
✗ Proceedings from memory
Convenors piece the day together from slides, notes and a long video nobody opens.
- Discussion points paraphrased
- References half remembered
- The afternoon papers underreported
- Six hours of video to search
- Write-ups months after the event
- Big files rejected by short tools
✓ Proceedings from text
The seminar goes in once and comes back as structured text with a brief and chapters.
- Twelve minutes for 360 minutes
- Papers and discussion as chapters
- Presenters named in the brief's summary
- References and figures listed
- DOCX for the proceedings
- 140 minutes or more kept on the pack

FAQ
Six-hour seminars, answered.
How long does a 6-hour seminar take to transcribe?
About 12 minutes at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. The finished transcript is saved to your Library, so the page can be closed.
What does a full day cost?
Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes. Every recording starts with a free preview of its opening minutes, and the pack transcribes the rest from where the preview ended. Credits never expire.
The video is 4.4 GB. How do I upload it?
Files up to 5 GB upload, before or after a pack is on the account. Large files continue from this page's box to the main upload page. Exporting just the audio is the easiest fix.
Can one file hold a two-day seminar?
Only up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file, so two six-hour days go in as two files. That is also the better choice for proceedings, because each day gets its own brief and chapters. Two days together, 720 minutes, fit the $18 pack of 3,000 minutes.
What if presenters speak different languages?
99 languages are detected automatically, and English terms within another language are handled. A file that switches language is detected on its main language, so a paper given entirely in another language is best uploaded separately.
Is the seminar recording kept private?
Seminar recordings stay on our own servers for transcription and are never used for training. Ask presenters before you circulate the text beyond the group.
