Transcribe audio longer than 1 hour without cutting it at the 60-minute mark.
Audio longer than an hour transcribes here as one file, up to 10 hours or 5 GB, at about 2 minutes of processing per hour, so a 90-minute file is ready in about 3 minutes and a 4-hour file in about 8. Your first recording gets the first 20 minutes free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers a little over 8 hours of audio.
After the first hour
Hour two is handled the same way as hour one.
Where one-hour caps come from
Many free tiers and recorder apps stop at 30 or 60 minutes, and the OpenAI Whisper API documents a 25 MB upload limit, which an hour of ordinary MP3 already passes. Here the line sits at 10 hours or 5 GB for each file.
The clock for longer audio
Ninety minutes is ready in about 3 minutes, two hours in about 4, six hours in about 12. The public proof page lists a 4.94-hour file finished in 372 seconds and a 9.31-hour file in 1,033. The file length decides the wait far more than the language or the format.
Minutes, not a monthly plan
A pack is a one-time purchase and the credits stay on your account. Two hours uses 120 minutes, so the $6 pack of 500 covers four such recordings with 20 minutes to spare.
Built for reading long audio
A long recording comes back with chapters and timestamps, a brief with the thesis and takeaways, and the names, numbers and dates that were said, so you are not scrolling through 20,000 words. Ask the chat where a topic came up and it answers with the place in the recording.
Over an hour, two experiences
A cap at 60 minutes, or none until 10 hours.
✗ Tools that stop at an hour
The first hour comes back and the rest is either refused or quietly dropped.
- Upload refused after 60 minutes
- Or only the first hour transcribed
- Audio cut into hour-long pieces by hand
- Each piece re-uploaded and paid for separately
- Timestamps restart in every part
- No overview across the whole recording
✓ One file past the hour
A recording of any length up to 10 hours goes in once.
- 90 minutes, 3 hours or 9 hours in one upload
- A couple of minutes of processing for each hour
- Timestamps continuous across the file
- Chapters for the full length
- Who spoke, named in the summary and quotes
- Only the minutes you use leave the pack

FAQ
Questions about audio over an hour.
Can I transcribe audio longer than 1 hour?
Yes. One file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, whichever comes first, so a 2-hour or 7-hour recording goes in as a single upload. Past 10 hours, cut the recording once and send the two parts.
How long does it take for audio over an hour?
Roughly 2 minutes per audio hour: about 3 minutes for 90 minutes and about 8 for four hours. Upload time depends on your connection, and pasting a link skips the upload.
What does a 2-hour recording cost?
120 minutes from the $6 pack, which holds 500. If you transcribe long audio every week, the $12 pack holds 2,000 minutes, about 33 hours, at $0.36 an hour.
Can I try the start without paying?
On a first recording, the opening 20 minutes cost nothing. A recording that long is transcribed in full; a longer one is previewed, and a pack transcribes the rest from where the preview ended.
Which languages and file types work?
99 languages are detected automatically. MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, MP4, MOV and WEBM all work, and so do YouTube, podcast and Google Drive links.
What can I export, and is my audio kept private?
Downloads come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so a long private recording stays between you and your account.
