Over 2 hours · first 20 min free · rest from $6

Transcribe audio over 2 hours with the first 20 minutes free.

Audio over 2 hours is not transcribed free in full here: the first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes transcribes the rest from where that preview stopped. A 2-hour file takes about 4 minutes to process, and one file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so you never cut the recording down to fit a limit.

What free means on a long file

The honest version of free for a recording this long.

What the free part covers

Your first 20 minutes are transcribed at no cost. A recording of 20 minutes or less comes back in full; a two-and-a-half-hour one shows you its opening stretch. That is enough to see how names, accents and the room came out on your own audio, which matters more than any sample on a website.

Why long files are rarely free

Free offers tend to stop well short of two hours, either by length or by file size. A 2-hour MP3 at ordinary quality is already larger than the 25 MB the OpenAI Whisper API documents as its upload limit, so many tools built on it ask you to cut the audio first.

What finishing the file costs

A two-hour file uses 120 minutes. After the free opening, the remainder comes out of a $6 pack of 500 minutes, which leaves enough for about three more recordings of the same length. That is $0.72 per audio hour, paid once, with nothing renewing next month.

No trial that turns into a bill

There is no trial period that converts into a plan, and nothing renews quietly. You read the free part, decide, and if you buy a pack the minutes stay on the account until you use them. The exports come with any pack, so the smallest one is not a cut-down version.

Free offers for long audio

Most free tiers end before a long recording does.

✗ The usual free deal on a long file

The free part is real, but it is sized for clips, not for a two-hour recording.

  • A length cap well short of two hours
  • A size cap a long MP3 already exceeds
  • A trial that rolls into a monthly charge
  • Exports held back until you upgrade
  • Cutting the file into parts to squeeze under limits
  • Pasting the parts back together by hand

✓ The same file here

You see real output for free, then pay a few dollars for the rest.

  • The first 20 minutes free to judge quality
  • The rest of a 2-hour file inside a $6 pack
  • About 4 minutes of processing
  • One file up to 10 hours or 5 GB
  • Credits that never expire
  • All five export formats on every pack

A long panel recording, preview and after.

This sample is illustrative and was written for this page; it is not a customer recording. The first two lines fall inside the free 20 minutes, the last two arrive after a pack.

FAQ

Free and long audio, answered.

Can I transcribe audio over 2 hours for free?

Not the whole file. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, which shows the quality on your own recording, and a recording of 20 minutes or less is transcribed in full. For a longer file, a pack from $6 transcribes the rest, starting where the preview ended.

How long does a recording over 2 hours take?

About 2 minutes per audio hour, so a 2-hour file is ready in about 4 minutes and a 3-hour one in about 6. The page can be closed while it runs.

What does it cost to finish a 2-hour or 5-hour file?

Two hours is 120 minutes and five hours is 300, and both fit inside the $6 pack of 500 minutes. If you have several long files waiting, the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes brings the rate down to $0.36 per audio hour.

My file is over 2 GB. Will the free part still run?

Before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB; a larger file starts once a pack is on the account. A video can often drop under 2 GB if you export only its audio, and after a pack the limit is 5 GB and 10 hours per file, with no splitting needed below that.

Which languages are included in the free 20 minutes?

All 99 that are detected automatically, from English and Spanish to Tagalog, Korean and Hebrew. The free part and the paid part run through the same model, so the preview is a fair test.

What do I get to download, and where does the audio go?

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, the same five on every pack. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
