GoXLR · OBS file or VOD link · about 2 min per hour

Transcribe long streams mixed on a GoXLR from the OBS file or straight from the VOD.

A 7-hour stream mixed on a GoXLR and recorded in OBS is transcribed in about 14 minutes when you upload its audio or paste the Twitch, Kick or YouTube VOD link, at up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Stream recordings over 6 hours start once a pack is on the account, and the 420 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 80 left.

A streamer's mixer, a very long recording

The GoXLR shapes your voice and the game sound. OBS or the platform keeps the hours, and that is where the transcript starts.

The mixer does not record

A GoXLR routes and mixes audio; it does not save the stream. The recording is the file OBS (or similar software) wrote, or the VOD the platform kept. If the VOD is still up on Twitch, Kick or YouTube, the link is the quickest route, and nothing leaves your PC.

MKV, MP4 and remuxing

OBS often records to MKV so a crash does not ruin the file, though your settings may say MP4. If an MKV is refused, use OBS's remux option in the File menu to turn it into MP4 without re-encoding, or export the audio as MP3 or M4A.

A 7-hour file is large

A stream recorded at 6,000 kbps is about 2.7 GB an hour, so seven hours is close to 19 GB, well above the 5 GB per-file limit. The audio alone at 128 kbps is roughly 403 MB and fits the box on this page, which takes up to 500 MB; anything heavier continues on upload page.

Only the voices are written down

Speech is transcribed; game sound, music and alerts are not. If OBS recorded a separate voice track, which a GoXLR setup often makes possible, export that track for the cleanest result. The brief, chapters with timestamps and key quotes make it easy to find clip-worthy moments.

Stream transcripts elsewhere

Long streams hold the best moments of the week, buried somewhere in seven hours.

FAQ

GoXLR stream recordings, answered.

How long does a 7-hour stream take?

About 14 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. The public proof page shows a 9.31-hour file done in 1,033 seconds.

Can I try it free on a long stream?

A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free. A stream recording over 6 hours, though, starts only once a pack is on the account; a shorter one is previewed for free first.

What does a month of long streams cost?

Four 7-hour streams total 1,680 minutes and fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 320 left. Ten of them, 4,200 minutes, fit the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.

What about a stream longer than 10 hours?

Cut the recording into two files, each up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and upload both. A subathon VOD longer than that is best downloaded and split.

Will it understand a bilingual stream?

99 languages are detected automatically, and a stream that switches language is transcribed on its main one. Game and music audio are left out.

Is there a GoXLR or OBS plugin, and is it private?

No plugin and no integration with GoXLR, OBS or any platform; you upload the file or paste the VOD link. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
