Transcribe long Hindenburg radio and podcast sessions from the exported mix.
Export the mix of a long Hindenburg session and upload it here; six hours of raw radio interviews come back as text in about 12 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and those six hours use 360 of the $6 pack's 500 minutes.
Raw tape to a script draft
Read every interview before you choose a single clip.
Export the mix
A Hindenburg session keeps clips and edits that only the editor can read. Export the session as one mixed file from the File menu, and check the export settings for MP3 or WAV. For raw tape, export before you cut, so the transcript covers everything that was said.
Tape and the edit, two files
Many producers transcribe twice: the raw interviews to find material, then the finished piece for a web transcript. Each export is its own file, so you only pay for the minutes in each one. A 30-minute finished piece uses 30 minutes of a pack.
A documentary season
Twenty hours of raw interviews is 1,200 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 800 left for the finished episodes. One reporting trip of six hours fits the $6 pack with 140 minutes to spare.
Quotes with their times
The key quotes come back with timestamps, so a line you want for the script points straight to the clip. The brief and the list of names, numbers and dates make fact-checking a long interview faster, and you can drop the next file on upload page.
Long tape elsewhere
Six hours of interviews is a day of listening before any writing starts.
✗ Without a transcript
Listening is the bottleneck in every long edit.
- Logging tape in real time
- Notes that miss the best line
- Searching hours of audio by ear
- Upload limits far below an interview
- Facts checked against memory
- A web transcript typed after broadcast
✓ With the exported mix
All of the tape, searchable before you cut.
- One MP3 or WAV per session
- Six hours read in about 12 minutes
- Quotes linked to timestamps
- Names and dates pulled out
- Chapters across a long interview
- $12 for a twenty-hour season

FAQ
Hindenburg sessions, the questions producers ask.
How long do six hours of raw interviews take?
About 12 minutes, since a run takes close to 2 minutes per audio hour. A single 45-minute interview is back in under 2 minutes.
What does a whole season cost?
The first 20 minutes are free for a newcomer. Six hours fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. A season of twenty hours is 1,200 minutes on the $12 pack, and forty hours or more of tape belongs on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
Should I export the session as one file or per interview?
Either works. One file per interview keeps transcripts tidy and makes each one easy to share with a fact-checker; one long file up to 10 hours or 5 GB keeps a whole day together. Before a pack, uploads up to 2 GB are accepted.
How are the people in the interview identified?
Speakers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, which is where you look for a voice in a long interview. The full text reads as continuous speech with timestamps.
What if the interview is in another language?
Hindenburg exports in any of 99 languages are detected automatically. Tape in Afrikaans, isiZulu or Hebrew needs no setting, and English and Tagalog switches inside one interview are handled.
Which exports come back, and is the tape private?
The formats are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON; the DOCX suits a script draft and the SRT suits a web video version. Interviews are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training, and you can delete them whenever you choose.
