Transcribe a Kumu livestream and find the good minutes in a three-hour live.
A 3-hour Kumu live session you saved comes back as Taglish text in about 6 minutes, with the stream split into chapters and the promos, games and announcements listed by timestamp. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers two full 3-hour lives with 140 minutes left over.
For Kumu streamers and their teams
Three hours of live is mostly talk. Somewhere in it are the ten minutes worth posting again.
Chapters for each part of the live
Greetings, the game, the guest segment, the Q and A with viewers: each shift becomes a chapter with its time, so you know where to cut a highlight.
Every promo and date you said
Codes, schedules, product names and the date of your next live are pulled out with timestamps, which makes the caption for your next post quick to write.
Questions you answered on stream
The brief lists the questions the live answered, a ready list for a pinned post or an FAQ for new followers.
Captions for a repost
If you post the stream again on YouTube or Facebook, attach the SRT so viewers on mute can follow the Taglish.
Why scrubbing fails
Finding one funny exchange in a three-hour screen recording takes longer than the live did.
✗ Working from the saved video
A long live saved on a phone is one huge video with no markers, and the moment you remember could be anywhere in it.
- Scrubbing a phone video at double speed
- Promos and codes you forgot you said
- Background music drowning the quiet parts
- A screen recording too big to send
- Taglish that English-only captions garble
- No list of viewer questions to answer later
✓ The same live here
The saved file comes back as text with the shape of the stream already marked out.
- Chapters per segment with start times
- Promos, codes and dates listed
- Quotes worth posting, with timestamps
- Taglish banter kept in one transcript
- SRT and VTT for a repost
- Two 3-hour lives on the $6 pack

FAQ
Kumu live sessions, answered.
How do I get the live off Kumu?
Use whatever copy you kept. If the app lets you save or download your past live, use that file; many streamers instead run the phone's screen recorder during the stream, or record it from a second device. WhipScribe has no link to Kumu and nothing joins your live: it works on the file afterwards. If you re-posted the full stream on YouTube, just paste that link.
How fast is it, and what does a month of lives cost?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 3-hour live is ready in around 6 minutes. A weekly 3-hour live for four weeks is 720 minutes and fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Streaming 2 hours every day for 30 days is 3,600 minutes, which belongs on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
My screen recording of the live is several gigabytes. Will it upload?
A screen recording at 6 Mbps adds 6 × 3,600 = 21,600 megabits an hour, about 2.7 GB, so a 3-hour live lands near 8 GB, above the 5 GB per-file limit. Until your first pack, the per-upload ceiling is 2 GB. Save the sound as an MP3 instead: at 128 kbps that is about 58 MB per hour, so the whole live is under 200 MB.
What languages does it follow on stream?
Tagalog and Filipino are detected automatically, Taglish switches inside one live are handled, and the English stretches come back cleanly. If you stream in Bisaya, Ilocano or another regional language, it is supported, but the text is a fast first draft that needs one review pass. Music, sound effects and alert sounds are not transcribed.
Can a very long live go in as one file?
Yes, as long as it stays within 10 hours and 5 GB. A marathon longer than 10 hours goes in as two files. For streams that run past that, stop and restart the screen recorder at a natural break, so each file stays under both limits.
Which files can I download, and is my stream private?
Download TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON, each with timestamps. Your saved live is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training, and you can delete it with its transcript at any time.
