Bounced and transcribed

The bounce you already make for publishing is the file to send.

Bounce the project

A Logic Pro project holds regions and plug-ins, not one file of audio. The Bounce command in the File menu renders the project or a selection; pick MP3 or AAC for a small file, or a PCM format such as WAV. If the bounce range stops early, check that the end marker sits after the last word.

Size of a 100-minute bounce

A 128 kbps MP3 runs about 58 MB per hour, so 100 minutes is close to 96 MB. The same length as a 16-bit, 44.1 kHz stereo WAV is around 1.06 GB. Both go up before you buy a pack, since files up to 2 GB are accepted from the start.

The 100-minute arithmetic

100 minutes is a common length for long uploads. On the $6 pack, one episode leaves 400 minutes, so five episodes use all 500. Twelve episodes come to 1,200 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 with 800 left.

Text you can publish

Chapters with timestamps go into the episode description, and the brief gives you a summary for the newsletter. Guests are named in the summary, quotes and chapters, and the chat finds the minute where a topic came up.

Long episodes elsewhere

A long Logic Pro session usually meets a short upload limit.

✗ Common friction

The episode is ready, the tooling is not.

  • Upload caps under 100 MB
  • Thirty-minute limits on free tiers
  • Bouncing the episode in sections
  • Writing chapter marks by listening
  • A summary drafted at midnight
  • Subscriptions for a monthly show

✓ From one bounce

The full episode and its notes together.

  • MP3, AAC or WAV bounce
  • 3 to 4 minutes for 100 minutes
  • The whole session on one clock
  • Chapter marks ready to paste
  • Credits that wait for the next episode
  • Five episodes for $6

FAQ

Logic Pro sessions, common questions.

How quickly does a 100-minute bounce come back?

In about 3 to 4 minutes, which is usually less time than the bounce itself took to render. Longer bounces scale the same way: a 3-hour session takes about 6 minutes.

What does a season cost?

New visitors get their first 20 minutes free, enough to check how the opening of an episode reads. Five 100-minute episodes use the whole $6 pack of 500 minutes. A twelve-episode season is 1,200 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000, at $0.36 an audio hour.

Which bounce format should I pick?

MP3 or AAC keeps the file small and uploads fastest; WAV is fine too. If the upload refuses an unusual format, convert it to MP3 first.

Does a long recording need splitting?

No, unless it passes 10 hours or 5 GB, which a podcast session almost never does. Bounce the full session; one file keeps every timestamp in order.

Which languages can the episode use?

Logic Pro bounces in any of 99 languages are recognised automatically. An episode with an English host and a Spanish-speaking guest is transcribed on its main language.

What comes back, and who can hear it?

You get TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON from each bounce. Your bounce is processed on our own servers, is never used for training, and can be deleted with its text whenever you choose.
