Transcribe long recordings from Naver TV Korean programmes as searchable text.
To transcribe a long Naver TV recording, download the video you have the right to use and upload it here: a 2-hour Korean programme comes back as text in about 4 minutes. Each file can run to 10 hours or 5 GB, the first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest of that programme with 380 minutes to spare.
From Naver TV to the page
WhipScribe reads the video file, not the Naver TV page it played on.
Getting the file
There is no Naver TV link box here and no connection to Naver of any kind. If you published the programme yourself, the original file on your computer is the cleanest source. Otherwise use a download the channel owner or the platform permits. The file is usually an MP4, and it goes up exactly as it is.
Only what you may use
Transcribe programmes you made, programmes you have written permission for, or material the rights holder lets you work from. A broadcast that plays freely in a browser still belongs to whoever made it, so check before you build notes, subtitles or articles from it.
Korean, recognised on its own
Korean is one of 99 languages detected automatically, so there is nothing to select before the upload. When a host quotes an English term or a guest answers in English, the programme is still detected on Korean and the switches are handled. Theme music and studio laughter are skipped; the speech is what comes back.
Size of a long programme
Video at 4 Mbps is 4 × 3,600 = 14,400 megabits an hour, about 1.8 GB, so a 2-hour show lands near 3.6 GB. That is inside the 5 GB file limit; above 2 GB it starts once a pack is on the account. Files bigger than the box here takes continue on the upload page.
Long Korean video elsewhere
A full programme is longer and heavier than most transcription tools expect.
✗ What usually stops you
The video is fine; the tool is the limit.
- The OpenAI Whisper API refuses uploads over 25 MB
- Cutting a 2-hour show into short clips
- Picking the language by hand for each clip
- A clock that resets in every clip
- Notes typed while pausing the player
- Subtitle files rebuilt line by line
✓ One upload, one clock
The whole programme goes in and comes back as one document.
- The MP4 as you downloaded it
- Korean found without a setting
- Two hours of talk read in four minutes
- Timestamps across the full runtime
- SRT and VTT ready for subtitles
- Names and figures gathered in the brief

FAQ
Naver TV recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 2-hour Naver TV programme take?
Roughly 4 minutes, since each audio hour takes about 2. The public proof page shows a 2.48-hour file finishing in 200 seconds, so a single episode is usually ready before you have made a coffee.
What does one programme, or a whole season, cost?
A first visit gets the first 20 minutes free. A 2-hour programme uses 120 minutes of the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Sixteen 70-minute episodes come to 1,120 minutes, which belongs on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes at $0.36 an audio hour, with 880 minutes left over.
Can I paste a Naver TV link instead of downloading?
No. Links work for YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick, Google Drive and podcast feeds. For Naver TV, download the file you are allowed to use and upload it. If the same programme is also on a YouTube channel you may work from, paste that link instead.
The download is over 2 GB. Can a Naver TV file that size still upload?
Up to 2 GB, the upload starts right away even before you buy; past 2 GB it waits until a pack is on the account. Any single file can reach 5 GB or 10 hours; a broadcast marathon longer than that goes in as two files.
Does it cope with Korean mixed with English?
Yes. Korean is detected automatically, and English words or answers inside a Korean programme are handled. Hosts and guests are identified and named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters, so you can find each person's part quickly.
Which files come back, and is the video kept private?
The programme downloads as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete the video and its text at any time from your library.
