Transcribe long multitrack recordings from REAPER rendered to a single file.
Render the master mix of a long REAPER project to one WAV, MP3 or FLAC file and upload it; a 4-hour multitrack recording comes back as text in about 8 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the 4 hours with 260 minutes to spare.
Many tracks, one transcript
Render the master once and every microphone lands in the same text.
Render from the File menu
A .rpp project lists media and edits; it is not audio itself. File, then Render, with the master mix as the source and the entire project as the bounds, writes one file. WAV, MP3 and FLAC are all fine to upload, and the render dialog shows where the file is saved.
Mono speech keeps it small
Long spoken recordings rarely need stereo. A 16-bit, 48 kHz mono WAV is about 346 MB an hour, so 4 hours comes to roughly 1.4 GB. An MP3 at 64 kbps mono is about 29 MB an hour, under 120 MB for the same 4 hours.
Eight sessions on one pack
One 4-hour render uses 240 minutes. Eight of them make 1,920 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 80 left. A longer run of weekly sessions moves to the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
Find the moment, not the waveform
Chapters with timestamps and a brief of the takeaways come back with every render, along with the names, numbers and dates spoken. The people at the table are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so you can jump to a voice without scrubbing.
Multitrack recordings elsewhere
Separate tracks and hours of audio break most transcription tools.
✗ How it often goes
Too many files, too long, too large.
- A transcript per microphone, out of order
- A 25 MB wall on the OpenAI Whisper API
- Renders cut into half-hour pieces
- Gaps where two people talked at once
- Timestamps recalculated by hand
- Hours of recordings left unread
✓ With one master render
A whole session, read as one conversation.
- One WAV, MP3 or FLAC render
- A session read about 8 minutes later
- Every microphone in the same text
- One clock across the session
- Chapters to jump between voices
- $12 for eight long sessions

FAQ
REAPER recordings, the usual questions.
How long does a 4-hour REAPER render take?
About 8 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, however many tracks fed the render. A full 9.31-hour file on the proof page took 1,033 seconds.
What do long sessions cost?
A first-time visitor starts with 20 free minutes. A 4-hour render uses 240 minutes of the $6 pack's 500. Eight such renders fit the $12 pack, and anything past 2,000 minutes fits the $24 pack.
Should I render each track or the master?
The master mix. Rendered stems would each come back as a separate transcript, while the master keeps the conversation in one document.
What if the project runs past 10 hours?
Render it in two parts at a natural break, using a time selection as the bounds. Each part can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB; a file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account.
Can the recording be in another language?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, and a session that switches between two is transcribed on its main language.
Which exports are available, and is the audio kept private?
Renders come back as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Each render is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training.
