Transcribe RSS.com episodes for independent shows on a budget.
An independent show hosted on RSS.com with 100-minute episodes gets each one back as text in about 3 to 4 minutes, straight from its RSS feed. The first 20 minutes are free, and five 100-minute episodes fit exactly on the $6 pack of 500 minutes. The feed is all WhipScribe reads; there is no plugin or account link with RSS.com.

The text of every episode without hiring help.
Your feed, pasted once
RSS.com gives each show a public RSS feed that the podcast directories read. Paste it here and the episode audio is fetched for you, which spares a slow home connection a 100 MB upload. Each new episode can go in the same way on the day it publishes.
Episode notes drafted from the brief
The brief gives the episode's thesis and takeaways, and the chapters arrive with timestamps. An independent host can paste both into the episode description and edit for five minutes instead of writing for an hour.
Find what you said in episode 12
Each guest is named in the brief, key quotes and chapters. Ask the chat when a topic came up and it answers with the minute, which helps when a listener emails about something said months ago.
Five episodes, one $6 pack
Five episodes of 100 minutes use all 500 minutes on the $6 pack. A back catalogue of 60 episodes averaging 75 minutes is 4,500 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000 with 500 to spare.
What independent hosts usually skip
Transcripts get skipped when they cost more time than the episode.
✗ Without transcripts
A solo producer records, edits and publishes, and the words stay locked in the audio.
- No episode text for search engines
- Show notes written last and in a hurry
- Quotes hunted by ear for social posts
- A monthly fee the show cannot justify
- Old episodes nobody can search
- Captions skipped on the video version
✓ With the feed transcribed
Each episode becomes text the same day it publishes.
- About 3 to 4 minutes per 100-minute episode
- A brief and chapters for the notes
- Guests named in the brief and key quotes
- Captions for the video upload
- Searchable text for every past episode
- Packs bought once, used when you need them

FAQ
RSS.com episodes, the questions hosts ask.
How long does a 100-minute episode take?
About 3 to 4 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. The record at /proof/long-files shows a 2.48-hour file finished in 200 seconds.
Why does 100 minutes keep coming up?
It is the length we see most among paying uploads. On the $6 pack of 500 minutes, one 100-minute episode leaves 400, so five episodes of that length use the pack exactly.
Do I need to download my own episodes first?
No. Paste the show's RSS feed and the audio is fetched. For an episode not yet published, upload the exported file: up to 2 GB before your first pack, and up to 10 hours or 5 GB once one is on the account.
Will a three-hour special need splitting?
No. Any recording up to 10 hours goes in as one file, so a long special gives one transcript and one set of chapters.
My show is in Spanish. Does that work?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, Spanish and Portuguese among them, and a show that mixes two languages is detected on its main one with the switches handled.
What exports do I get, and is my audio private?
Every run exports TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Independent episodes are transcribed on our own servers and are never used to train a model, so an unreleased bonus episode stays yours until you publish it.
