Transcribe Seriously Simple Podcasting episodes straight from your WordPress feed.
An episode published with Seriously Simple Podcasting is transcribed from your site's podcast RSS feed or its MP3, and a 2.5-hour interview is text in about 5 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and an archive of 90 episodes at 50 minutes (4,500 minutes) fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
WordPress episodes as text
Your episodes already live on your own site. Their posts can carry the words too.
Where the feed lives
Seriously Simple Podcasting builds a standard RSS feed for your show, and the plugin's settings or feed details screen shows its address. Paste that address here, choose the episode, and the audio is fetched for you. A site with several series may have a separate feed per series, so pick the one that holds the episode.
Or the MP3 itself
Episode audio is either in your WordPress media library or on an external host the plugin points to. Either way the file's address opens the MP3, which you can download and upload. At 128 kbps a 2.5-hour episode is about 144 MB, well inside the 500 MB box on this page.
Text for the episode post
The transcript pastes into the post body below the player, which gives search engines and readers something to work with. Chapters with timestamps make a show-notes list, the brief writes the excerpt, and the questions the episode answers become an FAQ block. Check your theme for where an attached transcript file appears, if you prefer a download.
The archive, priced
Ninety episodes of 50 minutes come to 4,500 minutes, on the $24 pack of 5,000 with 500 left. One 2.5-hour interview is 150 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. The $24 pack also includes API access for a developer who wants to script the back catalogue.

FAQ
Seriously Simple Podcasting: common questions.
How long does a 2.5-hour episode take?
About 5 minutes. Processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour; the public proof at /proof/long-files shows 9.31 hours done in 1,033 seconds.
Is this a WordPress plugin?
No. Nothing is installed on your site and WhipScribe has no integration with Seriously Simple Podcasting. It reads your public feed or the MP3 you upload, and you paste the text into WordPress yourself.
Can a whole back catalogue go in?
Yes, episode by episode from the feed. Ninety 50-minute episodes (4,500 minutes) use the $24 pack of 5,000; a short archive of thirty 60-minute episodes (1,800 minutes) uses the $12 pack of 2,000.
My episode is longer than 10 hours. What happens?
Each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a marathon live episode beyond 10 hours goes in as two files. A WAV master over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account; the MP3 is far smaller.
Are guests identified?
Guests and hosts are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so the show notes can credit them. The language of the episode is detected automatically from 99.
Which formats, and what about privacy?
TXT for pasting into a post, DOCX for editing, SRT and VTT for a video version, JSON for scripts. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
