Transcribe long VEGAS Pro timelines render the sound, read the whole day.
Render the VEGAS Pro timeline as an audio file, or as a small MP4, and upload it here; an 8-hour multi-camera conference day is transcribed in about 16 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free on a first visit, and the full 480 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 20 to spare.
Timeline to transcript
A full day of cameras cut together still has one soundtrack, and that soundtrack is all a transcript needs.
Render the audio
Use the render dialog and pick an audio template such as WAV or MP3, or a video template if you want the picture too; the list of templates differs by version. Set the render to cover the whole project, not just a loop region, and note the output folder before you start.
Which format fits
A 16-bit, 48 kHz stereo WAV is about 691 MB an hour, so 8 hours is about 5.5 GB, just over the limit. Mono halves it to about 2.8 GB, which starts once a pack is on the account. An MP3 at 192 kbps is about 691 MB for the whole day, which is the easiest choice.
Two days of conference
A second 8-hour day doubles it to 960 minutes. That fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, with 1,040 left for the next event, and the credits never expire.
A log of the day
Chapters with timestamps show where each session and speaker change begins, so you can jump to the same point on the timeline. The brief gives the takeaways, the names and figures said on stage are listed, and the speakers are named in the summary and key quotes.
Long multi-camera days
Eight hours of angles cut together, and the sessions still need logging.

FAQ
VEGAS Pro renders, answered.
How long does an 8-hour render take?
About 16 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. The proof page shows 9.31 hours finished in 1,033 seconds.
What does a conference day cost?
First-time visitors get 20 minutes free, and the rest of a longer day is previewed until a pack completes it. An 8-hour day is 480 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. Two days fit the $12 pack.
My WAV render is over 5 GB. What now?
Render mono, or an MP3, instead. Each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB; files over 2 GB start once a pack is on the account. A day longer than 10 hours goes up as two renders.
Do the timestamps match my timeline?
They count from the start of the rendered file. Render from the start of the project and they line up with the timeline; render a region and they count from that region's start.
Is there a VEGAS Pro plugin?
No. WhipScribe has no integration, plugin or extension for VEGAS Pro. It works on the file you render, or on a YouTube or Vimeo link if the day is published.
Which exports come back, and is the footage private?
Your render returns as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON files. Your file is transcribed on our own servers and never used for training.
