Produce one file

In the produce or export step, pick a standard profile such as H.264 in an MP4 container; the name of the step varies between desktop and mobile versions. Several versions can also produce an audio file, so check the output options. Produce the whole event at once, not per section, so the timestamps line up with the published video.

A season of events

Bitrate and the 5 GB limit

At 8 Mbps, a 1080p file runs about 3.6 GB an hour, so a 3-hour session is near 10.8 GB. Drop to 720p at 3 Mbps for roughly 4 GB, or produce audio: an AAC file at 128 kbps is about 173 MB for the 3 hours. The box here takes up to 500 MB, and the upload page takes larger files up to 5 GB.

How long does a 3-hour PowerDirector file take?

About 6 minutes, since transcription runs at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. Upload time depends on the file size, so a 720p or audio-only file arrives much sooner.

What will a session or a season cost?

The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor, and a longer file is previewed until a pack transcribes the rest. One 3-hour session is 180 minutes of the $6 pack. A season of fifteen fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.

Does a large produced file need splitting?

Only above 10 hours or 5 GB. A file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account. Lowering the bitrate or producing audio is usually simpler than splitting.

Is WhipScribe part of PowerDirector?
