For board examinees

A review session covers a semester's worth of material in a day. The text is how you go back over it in pieces.

Each subject becomes a chapter

When the reviewer moves from professional education to general education, or from auditing to taxation, a new chapter starts with a title and a time.

Figures and formulas kept

Rates, formulas, years and amounts that were said aloud are listed with timestamps. You can play back the worked problem instead of guessing at a smudged note.

Questions to test yourself

The brief lists the questions the session answers. Read them as a quick self-test, then jump to the timestamp for any you miss.

Six hours in one upload

Audio from a day of review is usually well under 2 GB. A camera recording of the whole day can be larger and continues on the upload page.

Why the day gets lost

By the fourth hour of a review day, nobody's notes are complete.

✗ Reviewing from the recording

Board review sessions start early and end late, with problem solving read out at speed. Most examinees record the day and never find time to replay six hours of it.

  • Notes that thin out after lunch
  • Six hours of audio with no index
  • Worked problems you cannot follow by ear twice
  • Phone recordings that stop and restart
  • Classmates' notes that disagree on a figure
  • Paid typing priced by the audio minute

✓ The same session here

The whole day is one transcript, divided by subject and searchable by any term the reviewer used.

  • A brief of the day's main points
  • Figures and formulas with timestamps
  • Chapters for every subject covered
  • Self-test questions drawn from the session
  • One 6-hour session on the $6 pack
  • A DOCX you can print as a reviewer

FAQ

Board exam review recordings, answered.

How long does a 6-hour review take to process?

Roughly 12 minutes, since processing runs at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 2-hour evening session is ready in about 4.

Which pack fits a review season?

One 6-hour session is 360 minutes and fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Five sessions of 6 hours, 1,800 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Thirteen sessions of 6 hours, 4,680 minutes, fit the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.

Should I split a full review day before uploading?

No. One file may run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a 6-hour day goes in whole. Before your first pack, a file over 2 GB waits until a pack is on the account; audio of the day rarely reaches that size.

Does it read math notation?

It transcribes the words the reviewer says, so a formula comes back as spoken, not as typeset notation. Board slides and anything written only on the whiteboard are not in the audio and not in the text.

What about review sessions in other languages?

Tagalog, Filipino and English are detected automatically, and switching between them inside one session is handled. A reviewer who teaches in Bisaya or Kapampangan is supported as well, though those regional languages give a fast first draft; plan one review pass for those parts.

How do I export, and is my recording kept private?

TXT and DOCX suit a printed reviewer, while SRT, VTT and JSON are there for video and other tools. On privacy: recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
