FM talk, drive-time and advice shows · 2 to 4 hours

Transcribe a Taglish radio program with the English and Tagalog left as spoken.

A 2-hour Taglish drive-time show is transcribed in about 4 minutes, with Tagalog and English kept in the order the hosts said them and every quote timestamped. Four shows of that length fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free.

Packs from $6, credits never expire · then from $0.36/hour · Credits never expire · Never used to train AI

For students, researchers and monitors

In a Taglish show the language changes inside a sentence. A transcript that forces it into one language loses what you came to study.

The switch stays where it happened

The transcript keeps 'grabe' beside 'traffic' and 'sobrang late' beside 'na naman', so a study of code-switching in broadcast speech works from the words that aired, never from a translation.

Quotes from each host, timed

Key quotes are listed with the minute and the host who said them, named from the way the hosts introduce themselves and each other on air.

Topics as chapters

A drive-time show jumps from the commute to a love-advice letter to a guest interview. Chapters mark each jump, so you can collect every advice segment across a month of shows.

A month of shows in one go

Keep the month's recordings in a Google Drive folder and paste the folder link, or send one long capture through the upload page.

Why Taglish breaks other tools

Tools built for one language either drop the Tagalog or translate it, and both ruin a quote.

✗ Transcribing Taglish elsewhere

A show that moves between languages every few words confuses a tool that expects one, and the hosts talk over each other and over the music bed.

  • Tagalog words rewritten as English guesses
  • Whole sentences translated instead of transcribed
  • Banter between hosts merged into one block
  • Listener messages read on air, then lost
  • No timestamps to check a quote against the audio
  • Two-hour files cut down to fit a short limit

✓ The same show here

The show reads back the way it aired, in both languages, with a structure you can move around in.

  • English and Tagalog in the order spoken
  • A chapter for every segment and guest
  • Quotes with timestamps and the host's name
  • A brief of what the show spent its time on
  • Four 2-hour shows inside one $6 pack
  • TXT you can load into a coding sheet

00:05:02 Good evening, mga kaibigan! Grabe ang traffic ngayon, so samahan niyo muna kami habang nasa daan kayo.
00:05:20 Totoo 'yan. I left the office at six, and hanggang ngayon nasa kalsada pa rin ako.
00:52:41 Okay, sunod na letter. Our listener says she's torn between two job offers.
00:53:05 Ay, classic. Ano ba ang mas importante sa'yo, sweldo or peace of mind?
01:57:30 That's it for tonight. Ingat kayo sa biyahe, and see you tomorrow, same time.

FAQ

Taglish radio programs, answered.

How long until a 2-hour Taglish show is transcribed?

Close to 4 minutes, since processing runs about 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 4-hour weekend program takes around 8.

How much for a month of shows?

Each 2-hour show is 120 minutes, so four fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 20 left. Sixteen weekday shows, 1,920 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000. Twenty weekday programs of 4 hours, 4,800 minutes, fit the $24 pack of 5,000.

What size is a streamed show, and is there a cap?

A stream saved as audio at 96 kbps works out to 96,000 × 3,600 ÷ 8, about 43 MB an hour, so a 2-hour show is under 90 MB. A file may run to 10 hours or 5 GB; before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB, and a larger one starts once a pack is on your account.

Is a Taglish transcript translated into English?

No. It is transcribed as spoken: Tagalog stays Tagalog, English stays English, and the switches within a program are handled, with the program detected on its main language. If the hosts drop into Bisaya or Kapampangan for a while, those parts are supported but read as a fast first draft, so give them one review pass.

Do I need to split the recording or remove the music?

Neither. Upload the show as one file. Music beds, jingles and sound effects are left out of the text, while the hosts' and callers' speech is transcribed.

Which formats come out, and who can see the show?

A Taglish show exports as TXT for coding, SRT or VTT for a replay, and DOCX or JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
