AI translation, aligned to the cues' timestamps — read it before you publish it.

Your subtitle text is sent to WhipScribe's translation service and is not stored · Free for the first 20 minutes of a file, up to 300 cues

Have the recording? Transcribe it and translate the whole thing — WhipScribe translates a finished transcript into any of 99 languages with the same timestamps, so SRT and VTT stay aligned.

The first 20 minutes of any recording are transcribed free; a pack from $6 (500 minutes) transcribes the rest and opens exports. Credits never expire.

How it works

Three steps, nothing to install.

1

Add the file

Drop an .srt or .vtt, or paste its text. The format, the number of cues and the length are read for you.

2

Pick a language

Any of 99. Each cue is translated on its own, so its start and end time stay exactly as they were.

3

Download

The same format back — or a bilingual file with the original line above the translation in every cue.

Frequently asked

Which subtitle formats can I translate?

SRT (SubRip) and VTT (WebVTT). Drop the file or paste its text. The translated file comes back in the same format you gave: SRT in, SRT out; VTT in, VTT out. One page handles both.

Is the subtitle translator free?

Yes, with no signup. Your subtitle text is sent to WhipScribe's translation service and is not stored. There is a per-address hourly limit and a daily free quota for the whole tool.

How long a subtitle file can I translate?

The free tool translates the first 20 minutes of a file, up to 300 cues. For a whole film or a long recording, transcribe the recording itself: a finished transcript is translated into any of 99 languages with the same timestamps.

Are the timestamps kept?

Yes. Each cue is translated on its own and keeps its original start and end time, so the translated file lines up with the video exactly as the original did. The Bilingual option writes the original line and the translated line in each cue.

Is it a certified translation?

No. It is AI translation, aligned to the cues' timestamps. Read it before you publish it, and use a certified human translator where a certified translation is required.
