What it is
Dialogflow CX is Google's flow-based conversational AI engine, designed for complex agents with state machines, pages, and route groups. Voice deployments use the Dialogflow Phone Gateway or partner telephony (Genesys, Avaya, AudioCodes). Google increasingly markets the LLM-native Vertex AI Conversation product alongside Dialogflow CX for new builds.
Watch out for: Google Cloud lock-in; LLM-native rewrites are bridging via Vertex AI Conversation.
