What it is
SCB 10X, the venture arm of Siam Commercial Bank, runs the Typhoon initiative to build Thai-language foundation models including LLMs and ASR. Released checkpoints handle Thai script-specific challenges (no spaces between words, tonal phonology) more reliably than stock Whisper. A realistic baseline for Thai-language voice products.
