Transcribe a khutbah recording in the language it was given.

You have this Friday's khutbah as a recording and want it as text, in Arabic, Urdu, English or another language your community uses. Drop the file or paste the video link: the language is detected automatically, a khutbah up to 20 minutes long is transcribed in full for free, and a longer one is previewed with a pack from $6 transcribing the rest.

Why it fits

The khutbah as text, without choosing a language or a format first.

No language menu

Arabic, Urdu, English, Bengali, Turkish, Malay and the rest of 99 languages are recognised from the audio itself. You upload, and the text comes back in the language that was spoken.

Short ones cost nothing

A first-time visitor has the first 20 minutes free, and many Friday khutbahs fit inside that, so the whole recording is transcribed without a pack. A longer recording is previewed first, and a pack from $6 finishes it from where the preview stopped.

Every week in one place

Each khutbah lands in your Library with a brief, takeaways and chapters, searchable alongside earlier weeks. A year of Fridays becomes something you can look things up in.

Text the community can use

Export DOCX or TXT for a newsletter or the masjid website, or SRT and VTT to caption the video for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. The recording itself stays in your account, and you can delete it at any time.

The weekly gap

The khutbah is heard once, and then it is only audio.

✗ Audio only

A recording on a channel reaches people who can sit through it, in the language it was given.

  • Tools that ask you to pick one language first
  • Arabic transcribed as if it were English
  • No text for members who are hard of hearing
  • Volunteers typing up notes by hand
  • No way to find last month's topic
  • A download step before every upload

✓ Audio and text

The same recording becomes text in its own language, with a short brief on top.

  • 99 languages, detected automatically
  • Arabic, Urdu and English on the same account
  • SRT or VTT captions for the posted video
  • A brief with the main points and takeaways
  • Paste a YouTube or Drive link directly
  • Searchable, week after week

Sample output

A Friday recording, from the opening to the reminders.

Illustrative output in English, not a real khutbah. An Arabic or Urdu recording comes back in Arabic or Urdu script, with the same timestamps.

FAQ

Khutbah recordings, answered.

How long does a khutbah take to transcribe?

About 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 30-minute khutbah usually takes about a minute. You can close the page; the transcript waits in your Library.

Is a khutbah free to transcribe?

The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor, so a khutbah up to 20 minutes comes back in full. A 40-minute one is previewed, and a $6 pack (500 minutes) transcribes the rest. A year of weekly 30-minute khutbahs is 1,560 minutes, which fits one $12 pack (2,000 minutes).

How large can the file be?

Up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Before a pack is on the account, uploads can be up to 2 GB, far more than a khutbah needs. A YouTube or Google Drive link needs no upload.

The recording includes the whole Jumu'ah, not just the khutbah. Should I cut it?

There is no need. Upload the full recording and use the chapters to find the khutbah within it. Cutting it shorter is only worth doing if you want to save minutes on a very long recording.

What happens when the khutbah moves between Arabic and English?

The language is detected on the main language of the recording. A khutbah delivered mostly in English with Arabic quotations is transcribed as English, and the Arabic passages may not appear in Arabic script. If the two halves are given separately in each language, uploading them as two files gives each its own language.

Which exports are there, and is the audio private?

You can download TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and nothing is published unless you choose to share it.
