Transcribe a long Discord call from the recording.
Discord does not record calls on its own, so a long call usually reaches you as a Craig download or an OBS capture. Upload that file here: one recording can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and a four-hour session comes back in about eight minutes. Nobody pays for the first 20 minutes, and a $6 pack transcribes the hours that follow.
Long Discord calls
The campaign, the community call, the four-hour study session.
A Craig recording
Craig records each speaker on their own track and offers several download options. For one readable transcript of the whole call, choose a single mixed file if your download page offers one; otherwise each track uploads as its own transcript. Very large downloads continue on the upload page.
An OBS capture
If you recorded the call with OBS, the MKV or MP4 uploads as it is. Check that the Discord audio and your microphone both reached track 1, because only the first audio track is transcribed.
Four hours, eight minutes
A long session goes through at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. The recap for the group can be written before anyone has logged off the server.
A recap that remembers names
The brief sets out what happened, chapters mark each part of the session with a timestamp, and the names, numbers and dates said aloud are collected in one list. Each player is identified by name in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so the recap credits the right person.
Long calls
Nobody remembers hour three of a four-hour call.
✗ Relying on memory
Long Discord sessions produce a recording that nobody plays back, and a recap written by whoever remembers most. By the next week, the details that mattered have drifted.
- Recaps written from memory the next day
- Names and places spelled three different ways
- A dozen per-speaker tracks and no way to read them
- The one ruling everyone argues about later
- Community calls with no notes for absent members
- Hours of audio nobody will listen to again
✓ Reading the call back
One recording becomes a transcript and a recap the whole server can read, with the session split into chapters and the names written the way they were said.
- A recap drafted from the brief
- Names listed as they were spoken
- One mixed file, one transcript
- The ruling found by its timestamp
- Notes posted for members who missed it
- Searchable text for every past session

FAQ
Long Discord calls, answered.
Can Discord record a call by itself?
No. People use a bot such as Craig, or a screen recorder such as OBS, and the resulting file is what you upload here. No bot of ours joins your server.
Which Craig download should I pick?
A single mixed file, if the download page offers one, gives one transcript of the whole conversation. Per-speaker tracks also upload, but each one becomes its own transcript.
How long does a 4-hour call take?
Roughly eight minutes, because each hour of audio takes about 2 minutes to process. A two-hour community call is done in around four, and the recap can go up in the channel the same evening.
What does a long weekly session cost?
A four-hour session is 240 minutes, so the $6 pack (500 minutes) covers it twice. A month of weekly five-hour sessions is 1,200 minutes, which the $12 pack (2,000 minutes) covers. The minutes you do not use carry over indefinitely.
Is there a length or size limit?
Each recording may be up to 10 hours long or 5 GB in size. A marathon session longer than ten hours goes in as two files, and each one keeps its own timestamps.
What languages and file types are covered?
Calls in any of 99 languages are detected automatically, including servers where people switch between languages mid-session. Export the text as TXT or DOCX, or as SRT, VTT or JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
