Transcribe a long YouTube interview from the link.
That three-hour interview on YouTube has the one argument you want to cite, somewhere in the middle. Paste its link below and we fetch it for you, with no download, and return the full text with chapters and key quotes in about 6 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack (500 minutes) covers the rest.
For the interview you need to cite
Three hours of video, read in twenty minutes.
No download, no screen recorder
Paste the public YouTube link and we fetch the video ourselves, so there is no file on your laptop, no converter site and no upload. Twitch and Kick VODs, Vimeo and Google Drive links work the same way. Have the file instead? The upload page takes it, up to 5 GB.
Cite it with the time
Key quotes come back with the timestamp where each one was said, so a citation can point to the exact minute of the video. Add that time to the YouTube link and a reader lands on the sentence you quoted.
Read before you watch
The brief gives you the thesis and the takeaways, and the chapters show how the conversation moved. Reading those first tells you whether the full three hours deserve your evening, or whether the forty minutes in chapter five are all you need.
What a long interview costs
A 2-hour interview is 120 minutes and a 3-hour one is 180; both fit inside the $6 pack (500 minutes), which also holds two 3-hour interviews with time to spare. The credits never expire, so the rest waits for the next one.
Research from video
Working from a long interview, with and without text.
✗ Watching at 2x
The interview is three hours, the auto-captions are a scroll of lowercase text, and you need four quotes for a piece due tomorrow.
- Auto-captions with no punctuation or paragraphs
- Downloading the video through a dubious site
- Pausing every minute to type a quote
- Times noted by hand and often wrong
- No summary to decide what is worth watching
- Rewatching to check a figure that was mentioned once
✓ Reading the interview
The link becomes a document you can read, search and quote from, with every line on the video's clock.
- Punctuated text, in paragraphs
- Chapters showing the shape of the conversation
- Quotes with the timestamp for the citation
- Names, numbers and dates listed for fact checks
- Guest and host named in the summary and quotes
- A chat to ask what the guest said on a topic

FAQ
Long YouTube interviews, answered.
How quickly can I read a 3-hour interview?
About six minutes after you paste the link, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of video. A link skips uploading, so the only wait is the fetch and the transcription.
What does a 3-hour interview cost?
180 minutes. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, and the $6 pack (500 minutes) transcribes the rest. If you work through ten 3-hour interviews for a research project, 1,800 minutes, the $12 pack (2,000 minutes) is the better buy.
Is there a limit on how long the video can be?
One video can run up to 10 hours. With a link there is no upload size to think about; a downloaded file can be up to 5 GB, and above 2 GB it starts once a pack is on the account.
What if the video is longer than 10 hours?
Very long livestreams sometimes are. Send it as two files, cut at a natural break. Anything up to 10 hours goes as one link and comes back as one transcript.
Can it transcribe an interview in Arabic or Japanese?
Yes. The spoken language is detected automatically from 99 supported languages, with nothing to select.
Which downloads do I get, and is my research private?
TXT and DOCX for notes and drafts, SRT and VTT if you need captions, JSON for analysis. What you transcribe stays in your account: recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
