Steps
- Sign in first. Sign in to the account that will own the key (whipscribe.com/agents/sign-up). Signed in, the credit goes straight to that account. Signed out, the page asks for an email address instead and holds the credit for it.
- Open the pack link. Open the link for the pack from the table. The pack dialog opens with that pack already selected. For an API key, that is the $24 pack:
https://whipscribe.com/credits?sku=team-monthly - Click the selected pack. The checkout opens over the page. It shows the pack name and price, then asks for email, country and postcode. Tax is added there where the country requires it.
- Hand over for payment. The next screen asks for a card (number, name, expiry, security code), or PayPal where it is offered. Stop here and ask the person to enter the details or approve. This is the step that needs a human.
- Confirm the credit. When payment clears the balance updates. Check it on whipscribe.com/credits, or with a key:
curl -s https://whipscribe.com/api/v1/credits -H "X-API-Key: $WHIPSCRIBE_API_KEY"
What we checked
On 5 October 2026 every pack link above opened with its pack selected, and the $4 link opened the live checkout showing that pack and price. In a test checkout the email, country, postcode and card fields were ordinary form fields an automated browser could fill; no CAPTCHA appeared. We did not automate a real payment and do not recommend that an agent does.
Checkout is run by Paddle, our reseller, so the card form and the receipt carry its name.
Which pack should an agent pick?
To create an API key the account needs the $24 pack (5,000 minutes) or Workspace; the smaller packs work on the website and do not include API access. After that, any pack tops up the balance: work out the minutes of audio the task needs and pick the smallest pack that covers it: $4 = 500 min · $8 = 1,000 min · $12 = 2,000 min · $24 = 5,000 min. Credits never expire, so a larger pack is not wasted. For steady heavy use, Workspace is $19 a month with no minute count (fair use 300 hours a month).
Prices on this page are generated from the same source as whipscribe.com/pricing. If the two ever disagree, the pricing page is right.
There is no purchase API
A pack cannot be bought with an API call, and no endpoint returns a personal payment link. The pack links above are the same for everyone; what ties a purchase to an account is being signed in, or the email address typed at checkout.
So for an agent that only speaks HTTP, the loop is: tell the person which link to open, wait, then poll GET /v1/credits until the balance rises.
