Intelligent verbatim
Intelligent verbatim is the most edited transcription style: fillers, repetitions and irrelevant asides are removed and grammar is lightly smoothed, prioritizing readability over word-for-word fidelity.
It suits published interviews and executive summaries where the reader wants the substance. Because words are actually changed, it is unsuitable wherever the record must show exactly what was said.
