600 minutes · about 20 min · at the 10-hour limit

Transcribe a 10-hour stream the longest one link can carry.

A 10-hour stream is 600 minutes of audio, and its Twitch, Kick or YouTube VOD link comes back as text in about 20 minutes. That is more than the 500 minutes in the $6 pack, so it runs on the $12 pack of 2,000 with 1,400 minutes left, and because it is over 6 hours the pack goes on before the link.

A ten-hour broadcast

A full day live, reduced to text you can search in seconds.

Right at the ceiling

One file or link can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so a 10-hour stream sits exactly at the limit. If yours ran 10 hours and 25 minutes, download the VOD, cut it into two parts and upload both through upload page.

Pack first, then the link

Stream recordings longer than 6 hours start once a pack is on the account. Ten hours is 600 minutes, past what the $6 pack holds, so the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes is the one to add before pasting.

About twenty minutes

Processing runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so ten hours takes roughly 20. For a public reference, a 9.31-hour file finished in 1,033 seconds on the proof page.

Subathons and weekly marathons

Three 10-hour streams in a month use 1,800 of the $12 pack's 2,000 minutes. Four come to 2,400 minutes, which needs the $24 pack of 5,000; a 24-hour subathon goes in as three files of eight hours.

Ten hours of VOD

The longer the broadcast, the less of it anyone ever watches again.

✗ A VOD and a timeline

Ten hours of video can only be searched by dragging a playhead and hoping.

  • Tens of gigabytes as a local file
  • Caption tools that time out
  • Three or more uploads with separate clocks
  • Highlight timestamps noted by hand
  • No record of announcements and rules
  • VOD deleted before anyone revisits it

✓ Ten hours as text

The whole broadcast in one transcript, timestamped to the VOD.

  • About 20 minutes from the link
  • One file at the 10-hour limit
  • 1,400 minutes left on the $12 pack
  • Chapters for every segment
  • Co-hosts named in the summary
  • SRT and VTT for clips and edits

FAQ

Ten-hour streams: what to know.

How long does a 10-hour stream take?

About 20 minutes after the VOD is fetched, at around 2 minutes per audio hour. You don't need to keep the page open.

Which pack do I need?

The $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, because 600 minutes is more than the $6 pack holds. It leaves 1,400 minutes, enough for two more streams of the same length. Packs are one-time, with no subscription, and credits never expire.

Do I get the first 20 minutes free?

For streams over 6 hours, transcription starts once a pack is on the account. The 20 free minutes apply to a first-time visitor's shorter recordings: up to 20 minutes transcribes in full, and a longer one is previewed.

My stream ran 11 hours.

One file or link holds up to 10 hours, so an 11-hour stream goes in as two files. Download the VOD, cut it at a break into two parts under 10 hours each, and upload both; each comes back with its own chapters.

Can I upload my local recording?

Yes, up to 5 GB per file once a pack is on the account. Ten hours of video is usually far larger, so export the audio, about 575 MB for ten hours, or paste the VOD link. A local recording is also the fallback when a platform has already removed the VOD.

What formats come out, and is my VOD private?

The transcript exports to TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, and the language is detected automatically from 99. Stream recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Music, alerts and game sound are not transcribed; the talking is.
