Four hours of proceedings

A text copy of the hearing for preparation, while the official record is pending.

The audio you already hold

Hearing audio usually reaches a party as a copy of the court's recording, or as a recording made where recording is permitted. MP3, WAV, M4A and MP4 go in the box here up to 500 MB and on the upload page above that. If the copy only plays inside its own viewer, export it to MP3 or WAV first.

Phases as chapters

Appearances, preliminary matters, testimony, cross-examination, submissions, the ruling or adjournment. Chapters tend to land at those transitions with timestamps, so the witness's answer about the timeline opens directly.

Figures and dates in one list

The brief lists the dates, amounts, exhibit numbers and names said in the hearing, each tied to its timestamp. Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters when they are addressed by name or role.

Several hearings, one pack

Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire.

Waiting on the record

FAQ

4-hour court hearings, answered.

How long does a 4-hour hearing take to transcribe?

About 8 minutes. WhipScribe processes roughly 2 minutes per audio hour; the public timing page shows a 9.31-hour file finished in 1,033 seconds.

Can this be used as the certified transcript of the hearing?

No. It is an AI transcript to work from, for preparation, review and search. It is not a certified or official transcript and not legal advice. Where a certified record is required, order it through the court's process.

What does it cost?

One 4-hour hearing uses 240 of the 300 minutes in the $4 pack. A practice with about twenty such hearings a year (4,800 minutes) fits the $32 pack of 6,000 minutes. Credits never expire.

The video of the hearing is 4 GB. Can I upload it?

Yes. The file limit is 5 GB or 10 hours, whichever comes first. Before the first pack, uploads up to 5 GB go through and a larger file needs a split. An audio-only copy is far smaller and starts at once.

Can it handle several speakers and poor courtroom audio?

The judge, counsel and witnesses are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. Audio from a fixed courtroom system is usually clear; where a witness was far from the microphone, check that passage against the recording at its timestamp.

Which languages, exports, and privacy apply?

99 languages are detected automatically; a hearing with an interpreter is detected on its main language, so read interpreted passages closely. Files export as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Hearing audio is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training.
