Transcribe a 4-hour wedding video and keep every word of the speeches.
A 4-hour wedding video is 240 minutes of ceremony, toasts and reception, and the spoken parts come back as text in about 8 minutes. Music is not transcribed; the vows and speeches are, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the day with 260 minutes left after the first 20 free.
One wedding day
The words from the day, kept where you can read them again.
About eight minutes
A 4-hour video takes about 8 minutes at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. Many couples receive the footage as a Google Drive folder from the videographer; paste the share link and skip the download.
Speeches in, music out
The band, the first dance and the crowd singing along are not transcribed. The officiant, the vows, the readings, the parents' welcome and every toast are, each as a chapter with its start time.
When the file is too big
Wedding footage is often shot in high quality, and four hours of it can run well past 5 GB. Ask the videographer for an audio file or a compressed copy, or export the audio yourself; four hours of audio is roughly 230 MB. Larger files up to 5 GB go through upload page once a pack is on the account.
A keepsake from the text
Print the vows, quote a toast in the thank-you cards, or send the best man's speech to the grandparents who could not travel. The speakers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the DOCX opens in any word processor.
Why wedding speeches get lost
The words are in the footage, and the footage is four hours long.
✗ The video and nothing else
Finding one toast means scrubbing through a long evening of footage.
- Four hours to find a three-minute toast
- Files too large for most upload boxes
- Captions that try to transcribe the band
- Vows remembered, but not word for word
- A free tool that stops after the ceremony
- Typing the speeches by hand
✓ The day in words
Every spoken part comes back in order, ready to read, print or quote.
- The day back in about 8 minutes
- Vows and toasts as chapters
- Music left out, speech kept
- Each speaker named in the summary
- Captions for the edited film
- 260 minutes still on the $6 pack

FAQ
A 4-hour wedding video, the common questions.
How long does a 4-hour wedding video take to transcribe?
Expect about 8 minutes, because each hour of audio takes roughly 2. You can close the page while it runs.
How many minutes, and which pack, for 4 hours?
240 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, leaving 260. Minutes count the running time of the file, so cutting it down to the ceremony and speeches first uses fewer. Your first 20 minutes are free as a new visitor, and the pack then transcribes the remainder starting where the preview left off.
Will the music and dancing show up in the transcript?
No. Music, sound effects and crowd noise are not transcribed. Speech is, including toasts given over background noise, though a speech drowned out by the room can come through with gaps.
The video file is huge. How do I get it in?
Before your first pack the limit is 2 GB per upload; with a pack it is 5 GB. Past 5 GB, upload the audio track or a compressed copy, or split the day at the end of the ceremony. A Google Drive share link avoids the upload entirely.
Our speeches were in two languages. Is that a problem?
99 languages are detected automatically, and the video is detected on its main language. English and Tagalog switches in one recording are handled; a speech entirely in a second language is worth checking against the video.
Which formats come out, and who sees our video?
TXT and DOCX for reading, SRT and VTT for captions, JSON for tools. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete the video and the transcript whenever you want.
