From the mixdown to the show notes

An hour and a half of conversation, turned into text you can publish around.

Feed, video or the master file

Most shows already publish an RSS feed, so pasting the feed and picking the episode is the quickest path. If the episode also lives on YouTube or Vimeo, that link works too. Not published yet? Upload the master from your editor; the box on this page takes files up to 500 MB, and anything bigger continues on the upload page.

Ready before the upload finishes elsewhere

Ninety minutes of talk takes about three minutes to process. A two-guest conversation and a solo episode take the same time, because the clock runs on audio length, not on how many people are in the room.

A season, priced out

Packs start at $4 for 300 minutes, and credits never expire. A weekly show for a full year is 4,680 minutes, on the $32 pack of 6,000. Credits have no end date, so a hiatus between seasons costs nothing.

Material for every channel

The brief gives the episode's thesis and takeaways, chapters land where the topic changes, and the books, names, numbers and dates mentioned are listed. Guests are named in the summary and key quotes, which is most of a show-notes page and a newsletter blurb already written.

Why long episodes go out without a transcript

Ninety minutes is long enough that nobody volunteers to type it.

✗ The episode as audio only

Listeners who want one quote scrub through the player, and search engines see only the title.

  • Show notes written from memory
  • Timestamps guessed for chapter markers
  • Quotes for social clipped by ear
  • No text for deaf and hard-of-hearing listeners
  • The back catalogue impossible to search
  • Guest names misspelled in the description

✓ The episode as text

A full transcript with chapters and a brief, ready before you schedule the release.

  • About 3 minutes for 90 minutes of talk
  • Free preview of the opening minutes to judge it
  • Chapter timestamps for the player
  • Names and numbers listed in the brief
  • DOCX for the blog post, SRT for the video cut
  • A season on one $18 pack

FAQ

Ninety-minute podcast episodes: the questions hosts ask.

How long does a 90-minute episode take?

About 3 minutes. The rate is roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, so even a long-form episode is back well before you have finished writing the title.

Can I paste our RSS feed instead of uploading?

Yes. Podcast and RSS feeds are fetched directly, as are YouTube, Vimeo and Google Drive share links. If your host only gives you a private dashboard, download the episode file and upload it.

Should I upload the final mix or the separate tracks?

The final mix, usually. It is one file with everyone in it, so the brief, chapters and key quotes cover the whole conversation. Separate tracks each come back as their own transcript, which is useful only if you edit tracks one at a time.

Is the intro music transcribed?

No. Music, stingers and sound effects are left out; the speech is kept. Ad reads are speech, so they appear in the text and are easy to trim in the DOCX.

What will the back catalogue cost?

Each 90-minute episode uses 90 minutes of credit. A catalogue of 50 such episodes is 4,500 minutes, inside the $32 pack of 6,000 with 1,500 left. Credits never expire, so you can work through the archive at your own pace.

What happens to unreleased episodes?

Episodes are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. You can delete the file and the transcript whenever you like, which matters for an episode still under embargo.
