Transcribe an Afrikaans podcast from the feed.
A 2-hour Afrikaans podcast episode is transcribed in about 4 minutes from its RSS link, with Afrikaans detected and chapters ready for the show notes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers four 2-hour episodes with 20 minutes left over.
For podcasters
Show notes, chapters and quotes from the episode you already recorded.
Chapter times to paste on the episode page
Timestamped chapters follow the conversation, ready to paste into the episode description so listeners can skip to the topic they came for.
No download, no upload
Paste the RSS link of the show and pick the episode. A raw recording from your desk can also go straight through upload page.
Quotes worth sharing
Key quotes come back with the guest named and the time beside them, which makes the weekly social post a five-minute job.
Captions for the YouTube version
If the episode also goes up as video, the SRT and VTT files caption it from the same run as the text.
Why Afrikaans show notes stay thin
Two hours of conversation, then a three-line description because nobody had time.
✗ Notes written from memory
After editing the episode, there is little energy left to listen again and write proper notes.
- Listening again to find quotes
- Chapters guessed from the edit
- Free tools that stop at the hour
- English assumed by the app
- Episode files exported twice
- Guest names guessed in the notes
✓ The episode as text
Send the feed link and the notes write themselves from what was said.
- Each 2-hour episode in about 4 minutes
- Afrikaans detected on its own
- Timestamped chapters
- Host and guest named in the summary
- Questions the episode answers
- Captions made alongside the text

FAQ
Afrikaans podcast transcription, answered.
How long does one episode take?
A 2-hour episode takes about 4 minutes and a 1-hour episode about 2, since processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. New episodes can go in the morning they are published, so the notes and the transcript page appear on the same day as the audio.
What does a back catalogue of episodes cost?
Fifty episodes of 90 minutes are 4,500 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. A weekly 2-hour show adds about 520 minutes a month, so a month of new episodes sits on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Packs are sold in US dollars and the credits on them do not run out. A transcript page per episode also gives search engines Afrikaans text to index, which audio alone never does.
How big is a 2-hour episode file?
At 128 kbps an MP3 holds 128,000 bits a second, so one hour is about 57.6 MB and two hours about 115 MB. That is well inside the 5 GB per-file ceiling, and inside the 2 GB that applies before your first pack. If you export from an editor at a higher bitrate, the arithmetic still holds: 192 kbps is about 86 MB per hour, so a 2-hour episode is about 173 MB.
Do I need to set the language to Afrikaans?
No setting is needed. Afrikaans is among the 99 languages detected automatically, and a guest who drifts into English is handled within the same episode. Afrikaans slang and loanwords are transcribed as they sound, so give names and brand words one read before publishing the text.
Does it say which host or guest said what?
The summary, the key quotes and the chapters each identify and name the host and guests. That is usually what show notes need: who made the point and when. For a panel show with three or four voices, that still gives each regular a name in the chapters and the quotes.
Which formats come back, and is the audio used for anything else?
You can download TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON for each episode. Episodes are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training; delete them from your Library whenever you like. Many podcasters publish the TXT as an episode transcript page and keep the JSON for their own searchable archive of past shows.
